Racaille assault police woman guarding Sarkozy's Elysée Palace

Over the past decade, since the September 11 attacks on the USA, many governments worldwide have put their duty to their own citizen in second place to the USA's desire for vengeance and control.

In 2008 the US government decided not to bail out Lehman Brothers and plunged the world into a banking crisis that has had unprecedented global fallout. The USA instead of absorbing its own mess transferred its financial disaster to the rest of the planet. While in Ireland the government absorbed responsibility for bank debt and transferred unsustainable debts onto the backs of the Irish people, in the USA the government pulled back and allowed a global financial disaster to emerge. This abrogation of responsibility led to the collapse of the global and indeed the Irish economy.
In this climate the USA seeks to also be the world's policeman, arresting kids for file sharing globally and other nefarious alleged crimes that are not the business of the USA. In the UK, because of an over friendly post 9/11 extradition treaty people who would problem of UK courts or not are sent to the USA to be imprisoned in facilities of detention that fail first world , or even second world standards and subjecting them to sentencing policies that more severe than North Korea, China, or other despotic regimes.

The USA must decide whether it wants friends in Europe or enemies in Europe.

The UK gave the basis of common law in 1215 with the Magna Carta, howver today the USA seeks the extradiction of UK citizens based on the entrapment operations of its FBI.

The USA must examine its needs and its fate. If it continues to attempt to police the globe then all sympathy for its "holocaust" of 9/11 will shortly have expired.

European Spring? The Irish people are close to breaking point

After 4 years of cut backs and austerity many have been surprised by the lack of mass protests in Ireland. However the Irish are a stoical lot and can suck it up with the best of them.
YET there comes a time when they say enough is enough. With a very small police force and army Ireland is a ticking time-bomb awaiting a coherent voice of opposition that is not being provided by the far right Opus Dei Brit loving Declan Ganley nor Her Majesty's ministers of Sinn Fein nor Occupy nor any other group existing now.

However if the voice comes even fragmented: then Ireland will lead the European Spring and the people of Ireland, who still have the power to do so will resist and sweep away their idle public representatives, acquiescent unions, and others who have supped too long at the cosy table of power to oblivion.

While the FBI are in Dublin helping the Irish police stitch up two Irish children the Irish media has ignored some of the more salient issues arising from the Anonymous /
LulzSec affair such as the fact that Irish police compromised themselves by sharing official emails with one of their "gmail" accounts, that extradition to the USA is prohibited under Irish law for political offences and the fact that the US federal authorities are likely to have been involved in the issue given that some level of entrapment appears to be releated to at least one of the Irish alleged "hackers".

People Korps is asking for Irish legal professionals and media activists to offer their services to the two boys as there are a wide range of legal issues of global importance relating to personal freedom, political freedom and national sovereignty that arise from this case.

The secret deal by the leaders of Germany, Britain, Spain and Italy not to meet Francois Hollande has proved to be a great boost for the French presdiental candidate. The announcment of this secret pact today in El Mundo which, previewed tomorrow's Der Spiegal story ,led to the the info being featured tonight on French news radio.

Hollande has correctly responded by stating that it is a matter for the French voters to decide their leader without the interference of Germany or other European country's leaders.

Meanwhile Merkel's government spokeperson, having been caught out in their secret deal, has "denied " there was a secret compact The denial of course adds credence to the reality that the pact between the hard right leaders of France's European partners was indeed made.

In France the people take this type of undemocratic maneuvering seriously. Though Hollande fell 1.5 % in polls this week compared to Sarkozy's 3% fall, the news that of a gang of supposed European partners are ganging up on a French presidential candidate (whose name is not Le Pen) provides Hollande with an excellent boost that the next polls are sure to reflect and indeed the most important one, when people vote in May.

The fact that Germany is trying to influence the French elections in consort with the Ros Beauf Anglais will add grist to Hollande's mill.

It is worth bearing in mind that the reason the hard right don't want to see Hollande elected is that he will oppose the fiscal compact "treaty" and insist on Merkel and the hard right's austerity program being halted in favour of a European package for growth and jobs! The fact is that there is more than one approach to the European finacial mess and one approach is to let private banks take the hit rather than the people. Even while saving banks it is possible to take a non Lutheran approach and create growth through investment.

All financial analysts state that the EU choosing austerity is choosing recession rather than growth.

Those reading in Ireland should be aware that a NO vote in the referendum will not be against the tide but will be with the new tide: the tide of growth not austerity. A No vote will send a strong signal to Merkel that we oppose the bailout and will take on no more misery in order to merely reward German gamblers profiteering at the cost of Irish social, health and educational services and the cost of Irish jobs.

Irish referendum? Vote NO for growth and prosperity

Yesterday I was equivocal today I am sure, Ireland must vote No to the fiscal compact in the forthcoming referendum.

The next few months will be crucial in Irish politics but not because of the referendum on the fiscal compact. It will be the attitude and stance of Irish politicians that will be crucial for their futures.

The fact is that the likely, almost sure, winner of May's French presidential election will be Francois Hollande. Based on current polls even if Hollande went on holidays for the next two months he will still beat Sarkozy.

One of Hollande's key platforms is that he will not sign up to this fiscal compact unless there is also a European ideal and plan for growth hardwired into the treaty changes. Hollande wants to renegotiate France's treaties with Germany and therefore the EU. He wants growth not cuts and as the second most powerful country in the Euro-zone he will put Merkel and Sarkozy's plans in their grave.

Therefore, Irish politicians who peg their credibility on Merkel's, Lutheran, former Commie austerity nonsense, by advocating a Yes to austerity vote, will be running against an inevitability.

That inevitability is that this fiscal compact is dead in the water no matter what way Ireland votes. However by the time Ireland votes it will be clear who has won the French election and if it is Hollande then a No vote will be a No brainer for Ireland. However politicians who say vote yes today will have a hard job trying to say vote no in two months when the issue is clearer than crystal.

Irish politicians who peg their credibility on advocating a Yes vote today will show that they have no foresight, no broad view of Europe and therefore are not worthy of being elected representatives of the Irish people. Many loose cannons will advocate a no vote for various reasons but that does not mean they are qualified to replace the present useless government run by a gormless plank, Enda Kenny and a discredited Labour party.

Some intelligent reasons to vote No are

1/ German economic strategy helped create this crisis and Merkel's fiscal ideas will compound it for a least a decade further than necessary, voting No will add our voice in opposition to her plans

2/ By voting NO Ireland will strengthen Francois Hollande's position on renegotiating the treaty and inputting a guarantee that Europe will seek growth not cuts.

It is likely that several centre right governments in Europe will welcome this and with Sarko gone will breath a sigh of relief that they are not being badgered. With Merkel being pushed to to one side it will be a case of Germany leaving the Euro-zone if they don't like it rather bullying Ireland and the rest of the European nations.

3/ rejecting the treaty changes has NO bearing on Ireland's continued membership of the Euro-zone.

4/ A strong No vote will help restore our national dignity in the face of bullying and incomprehensible political decisions by both the last FF/Green government and the current even more rudderless Fine Gael Labour one.

5/ Just because you can ....

Vote No and be on the side of the growth compact advocated by Francois Hollande.

Vote No and restore our national pride and Ireland's place at the heart of Europe.
