Declan Ganley has finally issued a writ in the High Court in Ireland about the below show. Since then he has claimed all subjects therein are sub judice. In the last week he has recieved a great deal of publicity after co authoring a piece on Federal Europe with Brenden Simms a Cambridge academic and war mongering neo con whose Henry Jackson Society has patrons including ex CIA boss James Woolsey and which is as virulently Islamophobic as Ganley's partners in Europe 2009 were anti Semetic . It will be remembered that Ganley shared an office building in Londonat 128 Mount St, some years back with CIA boss James Woolsey and claimed it was a "coincidence".

The first two killers of Stephen Lawerence were jailed in the UK on 4 Januray and in the media upsurge surrounding the case photographic evidence emerged in the media that the Met while being held as being institutionally racists also infiltrated the crowd of protesters with undercover spies.

The Lawerence case is landmark in many ways, the fact that the family brought a failed private murder prosecution in 1996, the fact that the judicial inquiry, the results of which were published in 1999 declared that London's Metropolitan police was institutionally racist and the fact that the law in England and Wales against double jepordy was changed in 2005, due to the Lawerence case allowed for the two thugs Dobson and Norris to be retried. However in yesterdays Daily Mail a photo published of the thugs who murdered Stephen leaving the Inquiry in 1998 also reveals that the London Metropolitan Police also had infiltrated the crowd of protesters.

In the top left hand corner of the photo above you can see former Police Constable Mark Kennedy who has since been outed as an undercover policeman who used sex and acted in a likely agent provocateur role while infiltrating environmentalist groups.

Declan Ganley's Rivada loses 700K in 2010

I have often said that Ganley is all smoke and mirrors this weeks The Phoenix magazine notes his latest business failures as well as court actions to recover 82 K owed to companies after his 2009 Libertas scam

In the High Court, an outdoor poster company called Titan Outdoor Ireland Ltd (now in liquidation) is suing Ganley for around €70,000 it claims to be owed for providing advertising related services to Libertas during the 2009 anti-Lisbon Treaty campaign. That case is due to be heard early next year after the Motion for Judgment was adjourned last week. Meanwhile, in Ganley’s own backyard in Galway, the Circuit Court is to hear an action by a company called
Adlantic.ie Sales Ltd, which provides promotion material such as embroidered
jackets, t-shirts and baseball hats. Controlled by Joe Kavanagh, Adlantic claims to be owed over €12,000 by Ganley/Libertas in relation to the 2009 campaign.These court actions aren’t the only headaches for Declan Ganley.

Earlier this year, Ganley Corporate Management Ltd – owned by a West Indies company, Golden Bay Holdings Ltd, where the directors are listed as Declan Ganley and his brother Sean – filed accounts showing accumulated losses standing at over €2.5m at the end of 2010.

Things aren’t looking much better for the Libertas founder in his Rivada Networks Ltd company, where recently filed accounts show accumulated losses of over €700,000 at the end of 2010. These accounts also state that Ganley now has no shares in the company’s parent, the US telecoms operation, Rivada Networks International LLC, where he previously held a 13% stake and where he is currently listed as chairman and ceo. (Other directors include Michael Jackson, the former deputy secretary at the Department of Homeland Security and Gen Richard Myers,former chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.)

It appears that someone is not happy with the Irish political bulliten board politics.ie. Since 18 November they have been victims of a DDOS Attack that has repeatedly crashed the site.

For many internet users and especially users of Irish political boards the idea that politics.ie "are victims" will raise a wry smile. In the past the site has used a corrupt political cadre as suposedly impartial moderators and its part owner (he sold a chunk a few years back) David Cochrane, was an employee of Declan Ganley and a founder of the far right Libertas party (now defunct).

Though these DDOS attacks deny politics.ie and its users the ability to post their views, this blogger can attest www.Politic.ie is well up to its own dirty tricks and has allowed a far right cadre to run their own fiefdoms on their board. It is a haven for far right and racist posters amongst Irish boards.

Though Politics.ie have changed their servers the DDOS may continue as no motive has been established for the attacks. It may well be an ordinary poster disgusted with their partisan modding and one-sided political agenda as informed by their cadre of ultra right wing moderators and their favoring of posters formarily aligned to the Libertas Party.

Or perhaps someone has decided to #Occupy politics.ie as their leading cadre support the 1%.

Irish Taoiseach (prime minister) Enda Kenny, no stranger to using the "N" word, with his fellow party member the disgraced former Mayor of Naas Declan Scully

Today an elected member of Ireland's main governmnet party Fine Gael, Darren Scully, a councilor in Nass Co Kildare, issued a declaration that he was refusing to deal with "black" Africans in his capacity as the Major of, Dublin satellite town, Naas in Co. Kildare. By this evening he had resigned as Mayor though there is no word yet on whether he had resigned as an elected public representative. The Scully episode may seem like an isolated incident for the hard right party Fine Gael, if one has a short memory.

However Enda Kenny, pictured above with Scully, has not too long ago had his own problems regarding race relations. In 2002 he told a group of journalists a joke with the word "Nigger" in the punchline. According to The Guardian

The family of Patrice Lumumba, the assassinated first Prime Minister of Congo, have demanded an apology from the Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny, who called the revered African liberation hero a 'nigger' in a racist joke.
Disgust at Kenny's recent remarks spread last night to Britain, where he was condemned by race campaigners, including the powerful Commission for Racial Equality watchdog and British political parties.

Not only did Enda Kenny brand the African libation hero a "nigger" he also claimed the joke he told had been relaid to him by a Moroccan barman 'with shiny teeth'. Despite a member of Ireland's coalition Labour Party making a police complaint about Scully under Ireland's incitement to hatred legislation, it still behooves the Labour Party to further distance themselves from the Fine Gael party by abandoning their coalition with the lead party in government.

For those of you who don't know their history; Fine Gael is the successor party of Cumann na nGaedheal and was founded on 8 September 1933 following the merger of its parent party Cumann na nGaedheal with the National Centre Party and the National Guard, a.k.a " The Blueshirts". These are the seeds of today's racist and lead party of Irish governance.
The Blue Shirts were led originally by the Hitler and Mussolini loving Eoin O'Duffy frorm 1933-4. O'Duffy later led his Blue Shirts to fight with General Franco with support from Adolf Hitler in the Spanish Civil War 1936-39.

Historically, neither Kenny nor Scully's attitude nor remarks come as any surprise. What is surprising is that the Irish Labour party, whose cabinet members spent the morning discussing what social welfare cuts they would make in the forthcoming budget, choose to remain in government with such a party. Yet again; The Labour Party is backing up a hard right racist party in a coalition governmnet in Ireland.

It must be noted that despite modern Fine Gael's attempts to distance themselves from the Blue Shirts, racist attitudes abide in their ranks and indeed in the words and actions of their leader: our Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
It must be noted that Fine Gael's longest serving TD (M.P) the late Oliver J Flnagan is globally notorious for his entrenched anti-Semitic views. Though his most famous outburst came in 1943, it was not long (1954) before he was wooed by and welcomed into the Fine Gael ranks becoming their longest ever continuously serving T.D.. Flanagan never changed his political views. His son Charles Flanagan is a currnet Fine Gaael TD.

In his father's 1943 maiden speech in the Dail (Ireland's parliament) O J Flanagan said:

How is it that we do not see any of these [Emergency Powers] Acts directed against the Jews, who crucified Our Saviour nineteen hundred years ago, and who are crucifying us every day in the week? How is it that we do not see them directed against the Masonic Order? How is it that the I.R.A. is considered an illegal organisation while the Masonic Order is not considered an illegal organisation? [...] There is one thing that Germany did, and that was to rout the Jews out of their country. Until we rout the Jews out of this country it does not matter a hair's breadth what orders you make. Whereas Fine Gael have attempted to claim to no longer hold such reprehensible views today's events and Kenny's recent racist outburst speak volumes. The legacy of Eoin O'Duffy, the Blue Shirts and Oliver J. Flanagen are alive and kicking especially today. Yet remarkably, Enda Kenny is the political leader of the Irish Nation because of the support afforded to Fine Gael by the supposed champions of the working class and the working people, the "socialist" Labour Party who are under the leadership of former Marxist and former Offical Sinn Fein member, Eamon Gilmore.

It is time for the Irish Labour Party to stand by their alleged principles and leave government or be regarded as the standard bearers a racist elite.

Legislation initially proposed by Nadine Dorries and Frank Field would strip abortion providers such as Marie Stopes of their counselling role and hand it over to "independent" organisations not linked to abortion clinics.
But Dorries confirmed to the Guardian that the organisations supporting her campaign include a "crisis pregnancy centre" (CPC) – a type of advisory service often linked to religious anti-abortion activists.
Dorries is coming under pressure to reveal how her allies are funded. One of the most vocal public supporters of the Right to Know campaign backing the Dorries amendment to the healthcare bill is the lobby group Christian Concern, which is linked to a wealthy US evangelical organisation, the Alliance Defence Fund.
Meanwhile, political support has been ebbing away since fellow Tory MP Louise Mensch tabled a compromise amendment, which would allow women to choose whether they received counselling from faith-backed pregnancy centres or existing charities such as the British Pregnancy Advisory Service.

Of course Dorries' sources of support and funding should be a matter for a parliamentary inquiry or indeed a public one to ensure transparency in government.

BROADCASTER TV3 has confirmed a guest on a TV show was not a former MEP for Nicholas Sarkozy's UMP party but had in fact been elected to the European Parliament for the far-right National Front, writes Harry Leech.
On Thursday night, Declan Ganley, who was guest presenting the 'Tonight with Vincent Browne' show, introduced Yvan Blot on the programme, saying: "I'm joined tonight by Yvan Blot, one of France's top civil servants and a former MP and MEP in Sarkozy's UMP."
While Mr Blot is now a member of the UMP, when he was elected as an MEP in 1989 he was a member of Jean-Marie Le Pen's far right party the Front National.
The broadcaster said it would be happy to clarify the issue on today's show.

Declan Ganley's much vaunted patriotism must be called into question in light of a report from Ireland's leading business magazine that he is attempting to set up a Swiss bank which will encourage a capital flight from our severely embattled nation.

The move comes despite Ireland's IMF and EU bailouts and the ordinary people - to whom he attempted to appeal - being rendered impoverished by the need to re-capitalize the Irish banks.
Ganley's a proposal will be viewed by the majority of Irish Nation as an Act of Treason and an example of sinister disaster capitalism at its most foul.

Whereas Declan Ganley spoiled his vote in the recent Irish general election and claims to be a patriot rumors now taken off-line appeared in Business and Finance magazine that he was starting a bank with fellow fundamentalists to protect the capitol of the Irish elites. Remember that Ganley claimed to be against elites in his Lisbon Treaty campaigns.

The entrepreneur Declan Ganley is in the process of setting up a Swiss-based bank, which will be aimed at Irish people looking to move their deposits out of Ireland and into European financial institutions.
The bank, which will be called St Columbanus AG, has been registered in Switzerland. According to documents seen by Business & Finance, board members include David McWilliams and Constantin Gurdgiev.
Ganley is travelling this week and is unavailable for comment.
A source close to the situation says that the project is still in development and no contracts have been signed.
According to a press release on the website: “St. Columbanus AG focuses attention on the need for safety…The main purpose of the firm is to provide a conservative safe haven for European depositors in the midst of the ongoing financial crisis.
“Declan Ganley, chairman and co-founder of St. Columbanus AG, said the company is focused on the safety of client assets, which is especially important in the current European context of economic and political uncertainty and low commercial growth.
“Until the economic crisis is resolved, which require several years, we are advising our clients to be prudent, secure their assets, place their savings with sound institutions, and address the safety of their pensions by considering Switzerland as the best safe haven for declared assets in Europe.”
It is believed that St Columbanus will act as an affiliate bank, which means that it will place Irish deposits in secure Triple A rated European financial institutions and take a commission in return for its services.
Other directors involved with the bank according to the website include Kevin O’Connell, Andrew Jamieson, who is a former board member of Ganley’s telecoms company Rivada; Charles Guthrie (Baron Guthrie of Craigiebank); and Gregory Tutton, who is a Swiss-based private equity player.

John McGuirk
Serial political party animal John McGuirk (23), whose bid for the top job in USI came crashing down at the organisation’s national congress this month, seems to be running out of options. His reputation within Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael is in tatters, while his attempts to
forge a career in student politics has failed in both Trinity and nationally. McGuirk, a former member of right-wing think-tank the Freedom Institute who now provides election advice for a Green Party Dáil candidate, has made a career of flip-flopping, changing course, and causing havoc wherever he goes. But where does he go next?

Controversy has dogged the young Monaghan man since his entry into student politics in 2001, when he joined the Wolfe Tone Cumann of Fianna Fáil in Trinity. In his first year in college he became National Policy Co-ordinator for Ogra Fianna Fáil, a weighty- sounding position with no real power.
Nevertheless, McGuirk managed to generate some trouble with one of his first proposals as Policy Co-ordinator. His planned sexual health campaign was initially welcomed warmly by his fellow young FFers when proposed in May 2003. However, Ogra began to fret about a potential backlash from the party’s association with one particular brand of condom, the potential alienation of the more conservative members of the party, and the memory of a USI campaign in which the provision of, em, ‘fisting’ gloves caused some alarm.
ANONYMOUS EMAILS
In June, McGuirk produced a letter, written to him by the Fianna Fáil National Youth Officer, Sinead Ní Mhaille, in which she gave him the go-ahead for the campaign, claiming that the Taoiseach was considering implementing it as part of Fianna Fáil national policy, which would have been quite a coup for young McGuirk. Unusually, minutes of a National Youth Committee meeting held in July record that the sexual health campaign was still being discussed as a ‘proposal’. Moreover, Fianna Fáil, Ní Mhaille, and Ogra chairman Michael Moynihan all claimed that the letter was forged, while McGuirk insisted the letter was genuine. Chaos ensued within the party, with both the senior party and the youth wing made to look like rank amateurs. The exact provenance of the letter - and whether it was a forgery or not - was never established, but the sexual health campaign was very quickly shelved (see The Phoenix, 29/08/03).
It wasn’t the last bit of excitement that McGuirk would be involved in during his time in Fianna Fáil, though. In August 2003, a series of anonymous emails from someone called ‘FF Insider’ began to do the rounds. The emails, which were addressed to Goldhawk, were also being copied to other Ogra members, and contained various titbits of information about the rather mundane machinations of student politicians, with the implied threat that The Phoenix was about to write a story on these matters. The emails caught the attention of bigwigs in Fianna Fáil’s Mount Street HQ and after an investigation McGuirk was singled out as number one suspect. After a fraught interview at HQ, during which he maintained his silence, he resigned his position as Policy Co-ordinator. McGuirk claims to this day that he resigned from his position on principle because of racist remarks made by a fellow Ogra member, though he must have been aware that his reputation within the organisation was shot.
Although McGuirk was not actually forced to resign from Fianna Fáil he walked straight
out and joined Fine Gael. In a neat piece of political bigamy, he continued to attend party functions held by Fianna Fáil’s Wolfe Tone Cumann in Trinity, and when Fianna Fáil learned of this, he was struck off their membership rolls.
McGuirk then got busy causing havoc in the Trinity History Society where, in January 2004, he began an anonymous email campaign under the moniker ‘Concerned Histie’, in which he made allegations of sexual harassment against another member. The emails were eventually traced back to McGuirk and he was forced to send a grovelling apology to the membership of the Hist, whereupon the

whole matter was swept under the carpet. However, in February 2006, with McGuirk’s campaign for the presidency of Trinity Students’ Union in full swing, rumours about the anonymous emails surfaced again. With a number of variations on the story doing the rounds, the Hist auditor, Cathal McCann, sent an email to the society’s members - about 1,000 people - clarifying the story and McGuirk’s role in it. The email found its way onto a Trinity College internet message board, where it was snapped up by Trinity News, becoming the cause celebre of the campaign. With only days to go before polling, McGuirk’s bid was scuppered, and he picked up around 300 votes, coming third of three candidates.
But, hungry for a position - any position - he shook off the disappointment and two weeks later ran for Eastern Area Officer of USI. Not exactly a prestige post, McGuirk was unopposed and duly elected. So, with one title to his name he went seeking more and by October 2006 had managed to inveigle his way into Young Fine Gael’s Dublin Regional Council (DRC), where he ran for the position of Treasurer in YFG. Though he was defeated, his buddy Georgina Robinson, the chair of YFG, put him forward for the office of PRO, and he was voted through. Yet again, it wasn’t long before McGuirk ruffled a few of his colleagues’ feathers.
In December 2006, he emailed his fellow members of Young Fine Gael’s Dublin
Regional Council regarding YFG’s equality and disability officer, Brendan Searson. McGuirk claimed that, on Searson’s page on social networking site Bebo, there was an embarrassing juxtaposition of Young Fine Gael material and material of a sexual nature. McGuirk claimed that this was potentially embarrassing to YFG and the senior party, and in the email (which, interestingly, was sent from his USI rather than his YFG email address) he demanded action. To ensure that action was taken rapidly, he claimed that he’d been notified by “his friend in the Phoenix” about the content of Searson’s site, and said that he was “relatively hopeful that such a story will not appear in Phoenix magazine, at least, in the immediate future, provided that immediate action is taken”. Unfortunately for the duped members of the DRC, Goldhawk had never actually contacted McGuirk about this little kerfuffle and certainly never published a story on it. Nevertheless, the ruse worked and Searson resigned from his position.
MANIFESTO
McGuirk couldn’t have known, though, that his own exit from the DRC was imminent. In January 2007 he issued a press release, again from his USI email address, on behalf of Robinson in which he criticised Enda Kenny’s position on Crumlin Children’s Hospital. When he was called into a meeting of the DRC to explain himself, he claimed that he’d been given the all-clear by the DRC to do so. The bitter row led to his resignation from the position, but not from the party (See The Phoenix, 22/03/07).
Nevertheless, the news of the manner of his departure from the DRC can’t have done his recent bid for the USI presidency any good. By all accounts, McGuirk had run a solid campaign: his manifesto, at any rate, showed an impressive array of goals and ambitions, and a masterful ability to, well, massage the truth a little. Amongst other things, he claimed to have been on the board of the Monaghan Youth Federation (he helped found a youth club for the MYF, but never actually served on the board) and that he was on the board of the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (he was only ever a member). Though these could be passed off as harmless CV fibs, they sit alongside McGuirk’s claim that he was “a registered member, but holds no position in, the Fine Gael Party”. Unfortunately, when the manifesto was written, he was PRO of the Dublin Regional Council of Young Fine Gael.
In spite of all this, at least two Dáil candidates seem to be oblivious to McGuirk’s chequered past. The Monaghan boy has been spotted lately driving around in a van bedecked in the colours of Dublin South East FG candidate Lucinda Creighton, while he has been assisting the Green Party’s Mark Deary on polling matters in Louth as well. Goldhawk certainly hopes that McGuirk’s talent for self- implosion doesn’t affect either of these candidates this summer.

With the leaks from al-Jazeera one must feel outrage and shock at the duplicity of Tony Blair, a supposed peace envoy, and the UK PM who advocted his MI6 plan to imprison without trial people in Palestine, Israel who do everything they can to avoid a peace deal and the PLO/Fatah who have sold their own people down the river to combat their Islamicist foes in Hamas.
What now for ordinary Palestinians? What would you do if it was your country?

In Ireland following the 1916 Rising the people rejected the politicians that said Irish people should fight in WWI when in 1918 they elected a majority of separatist Members to the British Parliament. These MPs set up their own parliament and their armed wing fought a war that was partially successful in that British troops withdrew from 26 of Ireland's 32 counties in 1922.

If I was a Palestinian I would rather die than live anymore in these conditions and surrounded by liars and thieves.

A March for Freedom, unarmed and dignified would negate the Israeli death machine's propaganda.

A March for freedom would bring death as a peaceful martyr of freedom.

The alternative is a total war which will also cost hundreds of thousands of lives but would be far more prolonged.

Both options are viable and just alternatives when all hope is lost for Palestine, as it is now.

I watched Sarah Palin's video tonight and felt an uneasy sickness envelope my body. Her lip sucking and barely controlled anger was both fascinating and horrific. In a talk laden with buzz words designed to reach out to the lower depths of right wing discourse and demented fundamentalist Christian "values" she let rip.

While defending people's first Amendment right to free speech she attacked that very free speech that has landed her in hot water.
However her choice of a famously anti Semitic reference "Blood Libel" to describe people who criticized her gung ho lock and load gun rhetoric she eclipsed all previous Palinisms.

Some like Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Democrat of Florida, who is a close friend of Ms. Giffords, issued a statement condemning her use of the phrase “blood libel.” saying

“Palin’s comments either show a complete ignorance of history, or blatant anti-Semitism,” said Jonathan Beeton, Ms. Wasserman Shultz’s spokesman. “Either way, it shows an appalling lack of sensitivity given Representative Giffords’s faith and the events of the past week.”

However as any idiot even amongst Palin's speech writers could have read on the page Wikipedia:Blood Libel what the phrase means we can only assume that Buck Shot Sarah meant to insult Jews and one in particular Congresswoman Giffords . However this is normal behavior for her and her Christotaliban followers. We might ask why a boy interested in books who read both the Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf targeted a local Arizona congresswoman also targeted in the national media by Sarah Palin, her employers Fox News and their shining star Glenn Beck. Who is the psycho? Is it Sarah Palin who puts targets on democratically elected representatives and her and Glenn Beck's Fox News with their hate talk talk and vitriol, or a young man who pulled their trigger? Declan Ganley's much hyped appearance on Sky News last Tuesday was a poor affair if he intended it to launch yet another political career. It was delayed by Brian Cowen's press conference and the media frenzy surrounding it. When Ganley appeared eventually, he looked rather spivvy in his trademark Arthur Daly tan coat with black velvet collar.
Interviewed on the street outside the Cowen press conference he cut a lonely and insignificant figure. He was interviewed along with Guy Verhofstadt from a Brussels studio.
Ganley was cut off by a presenter who admonished him for mis quoting Verhofstadt. FAIL Ganley ! Which brings me to the next item.

However Ganley has being tweeting like mad the last few days the most interesting one I have found was directed at his minion Alan kenndey (Cookiemonster on politics.ie).

William Shirer is most famous for his history book "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" (1960). Given the aspirations of and political groupings in his Libertas Party, it is perhaps surprising that he had not thought to read this classic at an earlier date. perhaps the fact that it is called " The Rise AND Fall" was off putting to Herr Ganley.
Now that he has taken two sore kickings at the ballot box he may be trying to see how to effect that all illusive "Rise" .

It s widely suspected that Ganley's ego will be putting itself forward in the next Irish general election.

As I have long predicted Ganley has returned . As if things were not bad enough in Ireland we will now have a Christian fundamentalist with unsavory links to Europe's far right and US neo cons intent on an all out war on Islamic nations.
During my various campaigns against Libertas I have referenced the similarities between the current economic crashes and the last days of the Weimar republic. The wolf in sheeps clothing is amongst the flock.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry is hoping to use social media to brand Israel and the government is about to spend $25 million on influencing social media. In their first salvo

The campaign will focus on hosting figures the ministry has identified as having significant influence on public opinion. The first step in that effort was seen in ministry involvement in coordinating Arianna Huffington's visit to Israel. She is the co-founder of the prominent Huffington Post political blog.

Arianna's credibility as a commentator would be rather compromised by this cash injection.
The Israel plan is to also promote Israel under the tag "I am Israel," this initiative

features video clips and articles about the average Israeli. The project, part of an effort to change the world conception of Israelis, was initiated by individual Israelis.

In the spirit of peace and reconciliation effected by Israel in a year that it used EU passports to kill, can we have half the funds directed towards a campaign that would be called "I am Gaza" ?

Libertas Party Limited never filed accounts because it never traded. If so where did the cash go?

The Libertas Party Ltd. was incorporated in November 2008 and has not filed any accounts.

However according to a former Libertas employee (currently a turf accountant) who posts as Cookie Monster on Politics.ie, the site run by former Libertas election director and founder David Cochrane, the Libertas Party Ltd never traded. In the below response to questions raised by the striking off of two Libertas companies , the Libertas Party Ltd and The Libertas Foundation Ltd from the companies register in Ireland , Cookiemonster stated that the companies never traded. On the same site he assured readers that an entity called The Libertas Institute was still active.

This begs the question, if the Libertas Party Ltd. never traded where and to what entity did the donations people made to the Libertas Party on their now defunct website and in other fund-raising endeavors go? What "company" took control of funds. Neither the Libertas Party Ltd and The Libertas Foundation Ltd ever filed accounts. The next account filing deadline for the Libertas Institute Ltd. is 30 Septeber 2010. We will await these accounts with great interest.
However it must be asked if the Libertas Party Ltd which was founded to "carry on the business of a European political party" and according to Declan Ganley, speaking to the Sunday Telegraph was going to start " to raise £75 million (€92.8 million) from online donations to run candidates in all 12 of Britain's European Parliament constituencies, and in seats throughout the EU". Libertas sought cash through paypal account buttons on its website. At the time commenting on Ganley's Tweets I wrote

Where did the money go if the Libertas Party Ltd never traded? How many Libertas companies were there?
Ganley on the campaign trail in the run up to the Lisbon 2 referendum in Ireland was confronted by the Charter Group's assertion that he and his party were anti-union as he had a strike breaking clause in Memorandum of Association of the Libertas Party Ltd

The Charter Group also criticised Libertas as being anti-worker. Mr Geraghty said the Libertas articles of association suggested it would contribute funds to anybody resisting interference in its business by strike movements or organisations.

However, Libertas chairman Declan Ganley said he was unaware what was in its articles of association. “We should check but I don’t know what it says. When Ganley was asked mid campaign this question about strikebreaking and his company The Libertas Party Ltd, he did not say that the company was not trading. He said "We should check but I don’t know what it says". What does that mean? Why was he commenting on a company that according to his former employee never traded? Why not just say that company is not trading. It must also be asked , for what entity was he trying to raise £75 million? According to Alan Kennedy is was The Libertas Institute Ltd that " used for the campaigns" but the website collecting paypal donations was the Libertas Party website libertas.eu.

The question again is where did donations to the Libertas Party go if not to the Libertas Party Ltd. When will they be accounted for? Did THE LIBERTAS INSTITUTE LIMITED collect the cash or some other company? Were donors aware that the Libertas party was not the company they were paying funds to? And what should be done about this?

Why would accounts be filed for a company which has never traded? Again, the Libertas Institute Limited was the company used for the campaigns and has not been dissolved. It still exists.

The Irish Times reports today:

Ganley's Libertas company dissolved
The Libertas Party Ltd, the company established by the anti-Lisbon Treaty campaigner Declan Ganley as part of his attempt to create a pan-European political party, has been dissolved.
The company was incorporated in November 2008 and has not filed any accounts. In June, Mr Ganley wrote to the Companies Registration Office seeking to have the company struck off. The Libertas Foundation Ltd, also established by Mr Ganley in 2008, has similarly been dissolved.

It took a lot of work but everyone who helped destroy this entity should be proud of themselves. Well done to all especially the voters of Europe who thwarted their attempt to undermine the European Union and the European parliament.

Thilo Sarrazin jumps before being pushed from Bundesbank board

"Thilo Sarrazin said he would leave the board of the Bundesbank at the end of September after making a string of inflammatory comments both in public and in a book published earlier this week entitled "Germany Abolishes Itself".

The 65-year-old Mr Sarrazin said that "Jews share a particular gene" and that Europe was being overrun by poorly educated Muslims with a higher birth rate and an unwillingness to integrate. He questioned whether the basic characteristics of Germany were being undermined.".

However news reaches this blogger that the board of the Bundesbank had already voted to remove him. His resignation comes in the face of his imminent forcible removal from the post. A pity he has been allowed to save face but at least he will be gone by the end of the month. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party in Germany who are partners with Ireland's Fine Gael party in the European parliament's EPP group. It is believed that he has become an embarrassment to all who previously worked with him politically.

Fox News's chief tea bagger, Glenn Beck, has smeared the tradition and legacy of Martin Luther King Jnr. today by staging a far right gathering at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington on the anniversary of Dr. King's famous "I have a dream" speech. The “far right, populist Tea Party movement" is making strides in the USA ESPOUSING A RACIST AND FAR RIGHT CHRISTIAN agenda. Disturbingly, Beck asserted that the secular democracy that is the U.S.A., should be consigned to the garbage heap. Beck told crowds "Something beyond imagination is happening," Mr Beck said at the Lincoln Memorial. "America today begins to turn back to god."

Well Mr Beck, what kind of God is that?
Is it a God whose followers shout "Nigger" at elected representatives like Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia congressman and civil rights icon who was nearly beaten to death during an Alabama march in the 1960s? In March he and other Black Caucus members were heckled with obscenities and racist abuse by Tea baggers.

Angry activists who had gathered outside the Capitol to protest health care reform Saturday yelled "nigger" at a few members of the Congressional Black Caucus, including civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis from Georgia.

Protesters also spat on at least one black lawmaker, and the most high-profile openly gay lawmaker, Rep Barney Frank, was apparently called a "faggot." Rep Emanuel Cleaver said he was spat upon while walking toward the Capitol. However Lewis who was active in Dr King’s movement and marched with M.L.K. in the 1960s said afterwards "I've faced this before. It reminded me of the 60s. It was a lot of downright hate and anger and people being downright mean.”

People in Ireland and Europe should be aware that the Christian far right is determined to make an impression in Europe. Despite their complete failure politically in 2009, there seems to be some life yet in the Christo-taliban followers of Declan Ganley and his far right Libertas party. Just this week, John McGuirk, who famously called the candidate he worked for, Caroline Simons, a "psychotic bitch" after she lost miserably at the June 2009 European elections in Ireland, was on TV3 floating the cause of a new far right political party. Libertas were a far right, supposedly Christian party which ran hundreds of candidates in the 2009 European elections. Is this the same Christ whose supporters shout "Nigger" at black men who were democratically elected? Not according to my catechism.
Libertas managed to get one seat in the European parliament with French Viscount, Phillipe De Villiers, retaining his seat. De Villiers' MPF party held three seats before joining Declan Ganley's crusade. Their two other sitting MEPs were unseated in June 2009 and the nutty Viscount promptly left Libertas with his party destroyed. He is now aligned with French president Nicolas Sarközy's UMP party which started the mass deportation of Roma last week. The so called Christian right might bear in mind that the Pope condemned Sarközy's actions.

Sadly, in Ireland last week, the panel on Tonight with Vincent Browne which, included a junior minister, Conor Lenihan, a member of the Socialist Party, Clare Daly, and a professor of politics, Gary Murphy, from DCU, were not versed with the facts of the associations which McGuirk has kept and which the Libertas party utilised for their pan European crusade. No one should face McGuirk on TV without revisiting his sordid political associations with xenophobes, homo-phobes and holocaust deniers. McGuirk also worked for a candidate who sought to further divide Ireland by seeking to impose a work permit scheme on workers who wished to work on either side of the border. This blog will be keeping a close eye on McGuirk and his former Libertas colleagues and rest assured that all research material will be made available to any journalist or politician who wishes to shine a light on the murky world of the new far right in Ireland and Europe.

What you have shown over the recent weeks is scary and you have proved that Libertas are a disgrace to all right minded democratic Europeans. Thank you for standing up for democracy unlike most of the Irish media.

In my experience most Irish people now finally realise that Ganley and Co. are idiots but don't realise just how intentionally hypocritical and subversive they really are. I think you need to ramp up your campaign. I suggest that you provide a summary list on your website of all the problems with Libertas, I have lost track of them at this stage. Cookie could then be given the opportunity to defend against these points on this forum.

Yesterday I mentioned Herman Kelly's new career as pr for the far right EFD group in the EU parliament. Ironically Libertas who he worked for denied they were far right despite the fact that they worked with many of the parties who now employ Hermann Kelly. Furthermore Libertas leader Declan Ganley made great play of "being Oirish" and his "Oirish" roots. Yet his Longford town Libertas party chairman, James Reynnolds, was linked by The Irish Times with getting UKIP Nigel Farage press accreditation for the count in Dublin for Lisbon 2, Libertas UK was run by a former British army colonel Robin Matthews and Libertas never launched in Nortehrn Ireland. Furthermore Libertas sought a complete legal seperation between the North and South of Ireland and included the need for work visas for Irish people who wished to work across the border on their own island. The latter was part of the anti immigrant platform devised by Hermann Kelly for candidate Raymond O Malley.

The fact that Libertas spin doctor Hermann Kelly is now working for an ultra right wing EFD a homophobic, anti Irish, anti Semitic and xenophobic grouping in the EU is further proof that the early predictions and assertions of this blogger regarding the unsavory ultra right side of Libertas was factual and justified. Timo Soini, leader of the Finnish Perussuomalaiset (True Finns) Party, and rather oddly a keen supporter of Millwall F.C, should add a little spice to Farage's group.

He wants to restrict entry to Finland for foreigners, and calls for legislation to force those already there to integrate. Describing itself as "populist", the True Finns has its roots in agrarian politics, is anti-capitalist, believing that entrepreneurship hampers bureaucracy. The party attracts a great deal of support from those who would have previously voted for the SDP or the Left Alliance. Its mix of "back to the soil" agrarianism, populism, and militaristic nationalism has led many observers to categorise the party as National Socialist. Indeed, in keeping with Nazi tradition, Soini was a corporal in the army.

In April 2009, all the leaders of Finland's political parties signed a declaration condemning racism. Only Soini refused to sign. The party also believes homosexuality to be an "aberration". Finnish celebrity Teuvo Loman complained to police about a Facebook site, called "Lets beat Teuvo Straight", set up by a True Finns candidate for Urjala municipal council elections. The site allegedly promoted violence against Loman.

In December 2006, True Finn councillor Jussi Halla-aho caused a controversy when he published the following comments as part of a discussion about immigrants and rape: “The number of rapes will increase in any case. Therefore, as more and more women will undoubtedly get raped, I sincerely hope that at least the right women, the green-leftist reformers and their voters, will find themselves in the clutches of the rapists, who randomly select their victims. Rather them than anyone else. With people like that nothing else works, except when their own multiculturalist views turn against them.” Halla-aho, who describes asylum seekers as "parasites", has been charged with hate crimes.

Another interesting True Finn politician, is the former wrestler and parliamentarian Tony "the Viking" Halme. In 2004, he received a four-month suspended prison sentence and was ordered to pay fines totalling 80 income-linked "day-fines" - amounting to EUR 4,480 - for criminal offences that were uncovered in connection with a drunken firearms violation episode in the summer of 2003.

Other charges brought against Halme included behaviour likely to cause danger, smuggling, possession of imported goods knowing them to be illegal, and drug use. The latter is ironic, as he has called for drug offenders to be sent to Russian prisons, where they can be dealt with in a more cost effective manner. The day after he was elected to parliament he caused a stir by attacking President Tarja Halonen as a "Lesbian". (Halonen had been a champion for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans-Gender rights in her country). In 2006 Halme was convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol. In that same year he was involuntarily committed to a mental hospital.

The True Finns will sit well with the populist Lega Nord, the Italian party expelled from the Independence & Democracy Group by Farage following allegations of racist behaviour. That party is partly defined by its homophobia.

In 2005, whilst sitting as an MEP, he was found guilty of setting fire to the belongings of immigrants under a railway bridge in Turin, during a vigilante raid. In September 2007 he was arrested by Belgian police for his part in an anti-Islamic demonstration.

The former leader of Lega Nord, Umberto Bossi, an MEP in the last parliament, was convicted of incitement to violence in 1998. He received a one-year suspended prison sentence. He had previously received a conviction for taking a 200 million bribe. In 2003 he described Africans as "Bingo-Bongos", and suggested that the Italian navy should open fire on boats carrying refugees.

Notorious holocaust denier Father Floriano Abrahamowicz is considered to be the "unofficial Chaplain" of Lega Nord. He told an Italian newspaper: "I know the gas chambers existed... but I don't know if anyone was killed in them. I know that, in addition to the official version, there is another version..." He has also been a vocal supporter of Erich Priebke, the German SS officer convicted of war crimes for a 1944 massacre in Rome, extradited to Italy from Argentina and currently living under house arrest.

The Danish People's Party (DPP), rejected by the British Conservatives, has been condemned by the Paris based European Jewish Congress for its approach to the question of immigration. It has also been accused of Islamophobia.

Morten Messerchmidt is one of the DPP's new MEPs. In 2002 he was sentenced to prison for racially motivated offences. In April 2007 he was reported to have been drunk in a restaurant in Copenhagen, and was seen "Heiling Hitler". Messerchmidt subsequently admitted singing Nazi songs at the restaurant. The incident caused him to temporarily resign from his position in the government.

Messerchmidt is a former assistant to Mogens Camre MEP, himself reported to the police for possible violations of anti-racism legislation in 2007.

And Farage has the nerve to condemn the BNP!

Hermann Kellly has landed a job as as a press spokesman for the ultra far-right EFD group in the European Parliament. It seems he has found his home at last. Kelly helped Libertas MEP hopeful Raymond O Malley in his campaign which brought forward a strongly anti immigrant platform.
Libertas even proposed that Irish citizens north and south should need work visas in order to work in either of the respective jurisdictions on the island.

Kelly has found his natural level but on a European stage among a group of far right cranks and people hating zealots of the far right.

Apparently the posters and fliers distributed in the European Parliament’s press centre on Tuesday (June 1) that clearly listed Mr Farage and Mr Godfrey Bloom as speakers at a press conference for the launch of Daniel Estulin’s book ‘Bilderberg Group -Towards Creation of One World Company Ltd’ were forgeries.
Whoever put them in great numbers in the racks reserved for announcements by political groups had, as shown in the copy we reproduced and which can be seen alongside the story, forged the logo of UKIP and placed it prominently at the left hand top corner opposite that of Lega Nord as sponsors. We have the word of Mr Hermann Kelly for the fact that this was completely false.

When Libertas disappeared into thin air last June abandoning the offices which were provided by Garret Kellegher's Shelbourne Holdings they left 1000s of Euros worth of equipment abandoned in their wake.

As the rats deserted their sinking ship they abandoned both hard to carry items like flat screen TVs and mobile devices like phones.

The multi-thousand euro stash of goodies is just sat gathering dust in their vast, ghostly seventh-floor euro-HQ, which has been empty now for almost a year.

The Ireland-based campaigners simply upped sticks in early June last year, and 'just left their toys behind', in the words of one agent trying to find someone to take over the 760 meter square, 200,000 euro-a-year property.

Among the items strewn across this graveyard of Libertas's obsolete cause are a handful of enormous flatscreen televisions, two ceiling-mounted projectors, a 5000 euro colour printer/copier, and six Sky decoders (yes, SIX).

That's without counting the proliferation of phones, brand new (a year ago, and in any case barely used) desks and chairs, storage units, and all the telecoms and internet wiring necessary to run an office of upwards of 20 people.

Though there has been no official confirmation that the offices were let at a market rent, it was reported by this blogger that Garret Kellegher of Shelbourne Developments sat in on at least one Libertas planning session in December 2008. Given this perhaps this might be one reason why the property lies un-let since June 2009. Libertas's John McGurik did make a statement to this blogger stating that market rent was paid for the office space but as there is no third party confirmation we can dismiss McGuirk's official spin for the moment. Declan Ganley will be among the speakers at an “Inishowen Is Doing It For Themselves” event tomorrow in Buncrana, Co Donegal. Is this the return of Ganley to political events?
The choice of Donegal is of interest as it was a staunchly anti Lisbon region and has been a seeding ground for quasi religious lies about the political process in Ireland.

All seems quite enough on the Libertas front but there have been a few little beeps on the radar in the past six months. On 28 November Libertas Party Ltd. changed directors. Chris Coughlan went out and in came little Seanie Ganley aka Sean Ganley brother of the bold Declan as of 28 November 2009.

The change was filed in February at the Companies Office in Dublin. This change brings to mind the Sly and the Family Stone classic "Its a family affair"

It would appear that the claims of Frank Byrne who set up the Irish Taxi Council that he has 15000 members are a complete fabrication. Taxi drivers who want to make a living are being intimidated on Frank Byrne's self declared "strike days".

Despite the fact that Frank Byrne has no legal right to negotiate on anyone's behalf he is calling national strikes. According to one Waterford taxi driver Brendan Byrne

My first impressions of the G Hook interview with Frank Byrne was that he was a liar. He alleged that the protest on Thursday would be a peaceful protest, from my experience with protests in Waterford City he couldn't be further from the truth. Protesting drivers blocking ranks, verbally abusing drivers, intimidation of working drivers, " generally the type of behaviour taxi drivers are renowned for", a type of behaviour that i know we're all not associated with. Its a perception that's been created by our previous colleagues and some existing drivers

The same driver states

(1) Frank Byrne is mis informed, he believes that the Waterford Taxi Ass:: is represented of the Taxi Drivers in Waterford, he couldn't be further from the truth. There- fore the action he takes is misleading, his information is based on hear say.
(2) Secondly to keep you interested, under the Trade Unions Act 1941 certain criteria needs to be fulfilled before the Minster will engage in negotiations, ITC ( and i stand corrected) do not meet these standards, firstly they need a negotiations licence, which they don't have and, for every member they require, €200 to be lodged in the High Court. ITC claim to have 15000 members, that's a lot of money.
(3)If they are not legal why are they claiming to effect change, when they don't have the legal basis to make change or to negotiate with the Minster..
(4) Who is Wilbur Shaw and Noel McLaurance, (Waterford City) I've never elected theses individuals but they claim to have all the decision making power to call stoppages in Waterford. Which directly affects my ability to earn.
(5) Work in the area of knowledge, based on majority rule.
(6) Frank Byrne( i don't doubt your commitment but your getting it wrong) Waterford Taxi Ass; STOP this is real lives.Look my daily takings are shit but i need them
(7) Previous stoppages have achieved nothing.

Hypocrites Representatives, in Waterford City calling stoppages, when the very representatives( which i never elected) are double jobbing with Markets etc etc, when they have no kids little expense and property all over the place, its a conflict of interest.

There appears to be a level of intimidation and across the country Byrne's tiny cadre are intimidating decent taxi drivers who never joined the Irish Taxi Council, who were never balloted and who DO NOT SUPPORT Frank Byrne's approach.

While there is no denying there is a crisis in the taxi industry and drivers find it hard to make ends meet, Byrne is calling strikes with no popular mandate or support. It would appear that at most his followers number the hundreds not the thousands but some taxi drivers say that the claims of 15000 members are should read 15.

This blogger has stated before that Byrne represents a political interest with a far right anti immigrant agenda. His Irish Taxi Council are getting drunk on publicity and are falsely claiming to represent taxi men.

One taxi driver asserts that Byrne is stupid as he is calling a meeting in Swords to determine the length of the strike. However as one driver humorously stated on Irishtaxi.org referring to the ITC's latest flier

how stupid is the author of that flier , how can there be drivers manning ranks with pickets on a 24hr stoppage but yet it request(s) them to attend a meeting during a planned stoppage

It is time to shine a light on Frank Byrne and his self appointed role as a national representative taxi drivers. he is using a bad situation for drivers to promote his anti immigrant agenda.

Brian Whelan of the Sunday World has an expose of the Nazi leaning leader of the Irish National Party who is named as being David Barrett (29), from Crumlin. The Irish government should examine this matter it the most forensic way, and if a state was involved then the entire EU must react as one in making that state come to heal. A state is a sovereign entity, its passports the property of that state. A state stealing the sovereign belongings of another state in order to commit an act of murder is tantamount to a declaration of war.

If our passports are misused by another state it means they have declared that we are nothing but their playthings. Our sovereignty is void we are their pawns. To exist as a nation we must resist all such incursions on our Nation. If another state committed an extra judicial murder using our passports to cover its tracks then the Irish state must react robustly and mobilise our European partners for a diplomatic offensive from which the Middle East may be reborn, and the present conflict laid to rest. If Mossad did this then Israel must be made to talk and to come to the table. We hold the power now.

Though press reports and Israeli embassy tweets point to the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh as being a Mossad hit, we might keep an open mind. It might have been some other party, I jest not, it might have been another...........but I doubt it.

Politics.ie has hit a serious low point of merely 1,267 Active Members ie members who log once in a while. This is after only one month of vindictive and politically inspired bannings of hundreds of users by site owner David Cochrane, a founder of the Declan Ganley's Libertas Institute and pr/intenet guy for the Libertas party until July (he says).

Cochrane a founder of Libertas has obviously decided his website should now be a vechicle for one sided debate and political posturing while he staked his google ad revenue on quick burn media stories about Iris Robinson and the demise of Sinn Fein. The interesting active users who have not been banned have drifted away over the last weeks as the site has hit an all time low.

Many ex-users were obviously also concerned about the security and privacy issues on the site which according to its privacy statement can access members private messages and where moderators share private mesaages with private far right wing groups on the site.

can I yawn now or should I wait until the pulse of pie drifts further away.

Suicide may be painless but the death of Politics.ie is a further proof that Libertas and its founders have hit a rocky bottom. As one of Cochrane's cabal pals states Yawn am I alive yet...................not if you are posting on politics.ie me thinks.

Dear David, You and your administrator, Cyperianpan, have in the last few weeks tried to vilify and smear this blogger. A moderator, King Kane has joined the fray in coments on this blog.

I have emailed you many times re. your recent slurs on my good name and you have failed to reply.

Save Politic.ie ? as active users fall even further this week

The active members on the site fell from 2220 to only 1,556 in just one week as Cochrane banned hundreds of site user in his night of the long knives 24 Dec 2009.
Since I last posted on this there has been a further falling away and regualer users now number a mere 1,477 active members. the number of active users online in recent weeks has often fallen the low teens. Daytime peaks as goood if the go wbove 65.

Whereas David Cochrane blames People Korps for these problems, in fact he should look closer at his own friends who use the site as a personal fiefdom and playground for their ideological bullying.

Personally I think this a sad state of affairs. I have often communicated with David Cochrane and have removed many older posts on this site as I felt p.ie needed to be given a chance when David Cochrane sought to distance himself from Declan Ganley.

It is clear reading though the open threads that the site has beecome a place of turgid backslapping with zero debate since the neraly 700 active users have either been banned or decided to not bother with the site under its new totalitarian approach to free speech.

The threads closed to unregistered members make even sadder reading.
If Cochrane had banned Cookiemonster, Bobert, Dot, MMRebel, Corelli, Cyperian, Liamreilly (the one who said that a member of the Irish police had helped identify People Korps to Libertas cadre on P.ie) then he would still have his active still with rising numbers and stimulating debate.

At this rate of demise and with new regristrations on the site banned also thsi trend is set to continue.

A part of the Politics.ie campaign of recent weeks has been new attempts to smear Poeple Korps and emails are circulated seeking people Korps identity (from David Cochrane).

Libertas Nien Danke is an investigative site that explores new and old media to keep track of hard right cadre and moniter their campiagns.

People Korps will continue to do this in the interests of free speech, the common good and to combat the rise of the new right wing.

Losing 800 active poster in under two weeks is leading to the death of politics.ie. Can it be saved?

Though Politics.ie boasts 21,798 members most of these are inactive on the site . Since David Cochrane started banning posters en masse just before Christmas 09 , because they are not right wing Libertas followers, the active members on the site has fallen from over 2220 to only 1,556. In one night alone, Cochrane banned 300 site members , since then a further fall off in active posters has occured.

It is a year since this blogger was banned from politics.ie amid false claims from Cochrane and his coterie of Liberti. At that time I rasied concerns that a site as influential as Politics.ie had been, was in fact merely a free polling/ information gathering outpost for the Libertas party.

During 2009 Cochrane left Libertas and belatedly supported a YES vote on Lisbon 2. However he has seems to have fully reconciled with many of his former Libertas collegues in time for their attempt to launch a new right wing party in 2010.

Act one seems to be the eradication of all politics.ie posters who are vocal in their oppostion to the ultra Christian far right. This is all very reminicent of the Reichstag fire.

According to Cochrane his has culled his site due to security concerns.........................

Obviously the far right have been feeling insecure when confronted by articulate well informed lie busters on politics.ie

2010 will see the complete diminution of politics.ie.

It is important that the facts regarding politics.ie and its leader David Cochrane be presentedly far and wide, lest anyone think that there is even the remotest political independence / freedom of speech on the site.

Lastly a warning to members of political party's groups on politics.ie,

It has come to my attention that certain posters on politics.ie in eg the FF and FG private groups who also post on the main site are in fact false adherents and my source said info which was deliberatedly passed to one of them was requoted by a certain former FF, PD, member who ran Libertas's press and acted as an election agent for a Libertas candidate............

Recipe No. 1
Authentic Irish Stew

There are many different alleged “authentic” Irish Stews.

Visitors to Dublin’s puke strewn Temple Bar area will find a famous restaurant that often serves a version which is beef based. Nein, this is wrong...

Irish stew is a mutton or lamb dish. It is a cheaply made meal that utilises the cheapest cut of the lamb or sheep, the neck. White pepper and pearl barley are essential ingredients.

The neck of lamb or sheep is fatty and bony and these two combine to give real Irish stew its flavour.

Hint: Neck of lamb is available at all good butchers. Ask in a few butchers what the price is as butchers are great scam artists and will smell a Jamie Oliver wannabe a mile off and charge accordingly!!!
Supermarkets do sell cheap fatty cuts of lamb and these may be substituted where the need arises. However , neck is best.

Hint 2: The longer you cook it the first day the better eg 3-4 hours but slowly and do not let bottom burn (too much ).

Hint 3 Bayleaves may be sourced fresh and free outside may stores/cafe/ resturants in towns and cities growing as decoration in pots outside. Those inclined might harvest a few a clump of leaves as they pass.
They may also be found in front hedgegrows of well established subrban gardens. Wash well before use.

The philosophy behind this stew is that it could be kept going for days and added to. As the barley solidifies and the potatoes disintegrate more may be added with water and further seasoning on successive days. Having perfected the basic methods other ingredients may be included such as celery and leaks. You may find that the barley and potatoes absorb all the moisture after a day or two, just add some cold water and reheat gently. It tastes better day three. If neck of lamb is cheap buy loads and keep stew on the go for days.

Ingredients
1 kg neck of lamb or mutton
2-3 onions
3 good sized carrots
3 peeled potatoes (for first cooking add more as needed see cooking instructions below)Note add more if you want a thicker stew , water may be added later.
A few celery stalks
Pearl barley
Drop of olive oil/butter or dripping
Boiling water
Seasoning
Salt
White pepper
Ground black pepper
Fresh parsley
Bay leaves

Implements
One very large saucepan that can accommodate 3 litres of liquid.
chopping board,
chopping knife.

Optional: vegetable peeler as knife can do same task.

Method
Halve the onions and crop into medium sized slices
Heat pan and add the olive oil/or/butter /or/or dripping,
Add onions and bronze, add neck of lamb and braise.

When meat is lightly browned add 2 litres of boiling water from kettle.
Add chopped carrots, celery add 3 large peeled and halved potatoes

Add bay leaves, chopped parsley, 2 teaspoons of finely ground white pepper, several twists of black pepper from a mill, one teaspoon full of salt and 50 g of barley.

Bring to the boil and boil vigorously for ten minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and then slow simmer for at least one and a half hours. Stir every twenty minutes making sure that the potatoes and the barley don’t stick to the bottom. If there is sticking stir it off and mix with stew.

At this point you turn the stew off and leave rest for the night (recommended) the following day remove fat that has crusted on the surface, add more water , pepper if necessary, add 3 more peeled halved potatoes and 50 g. of barley. The barley and potatoes from the earlier cooking should have dissolved to create the thick stock.

Cook for one further hour, stirring occasionally.

Serve in deep plates with fresh parsley garnish.

Irish stew can be cooked in volume and frozen.

All quantities can be expanded or reduced depending on number of servings. The number of potatoes added at the last re.heating should reflect the number eating. Serve stew when the potatoes are cooked and the second addition of pearl barley is firm. Add further sessioning ie white pepper and salt, as required before serving.

Well it has been an active year and yes we did destroy the Libertas party. However 2010 will see the cadre water themselves down and adhere to the extreme fringes of more main stream groups while they hone their skills. Expect many fronts emerging that profess to be the clean new transparent brand, and expect more issues from the brown shirt grassroots like Taxi Drivers for Change and their various offshoots.

People Korps (himself) thinks that more attention should be given to these "grassroots" movements in terms of reseacrh into their ideolgies and membership.
Having spent several hours lingering amid the striking taxi drivers last year I came away with a clearer understanding of their motives and organisation.

Likewise with Libertas, by rubbing shoulders with them; one gets a stronger sense of who they think they are.

However, I am about to embark on a new direction , aiding in recession survival. I will be providing recipes, shopping hints and recesssion tips on the great (because of the people involved) new Irish political forum TOK

Declan Ganley recieved 38,092.14 from public funds as he had achieved enough votes to qualify, the other two Libertas candidates failed to recieve any state expenses due to their abject failure at the polls.

Libertas were the fourth highest spending party in the elecions despite running only 3 candidates and having no party structure to speak of outside of pr men, spin doctors and holy joe fanatics.

Despite spending nearly half the budget of the two main parties it is reassuring to see that the c.500,000k spent by Libertas did not buy Irish voters, nor did the Libertas smear campaign that passed for an election campaign have broad appeal. The campaign did highlight Libertas's desire for a green card system to be introduced in Ireland that would forse Irish workers to need a Visa to work North or South of the border, in the UK or on main land Europe and its kinks with uktra Catholic, anti-democratic unelected elites

You recently invited Politics.ie members to contact you on any on-site issues. Some issues have come up recently in relation to privacy policy on Politics.ie and also in relation to threatening and intimidating behaviour on site. I have previously referred to these issues on your “Stop the Trolling” thread.

P.ie operates as an open political forum in which members can opt to post anonymously.
P.ie holds data provided by members (user names and associated email addresses) which is given solely for the purposes of registration, notifications and logging in. The forum is generally understood to offer an opportunity for open political discussion with members operating on equal terms.

Privacy on a discussion board can never be 100% guaranteed, as there’s always the possibility of hacking or leakage. There have been several incidences of “outings” on P.ie and there have been accidental releases of information from other discussion forums.

However, wilful, systemic or malicious breach of members privacy is another matter and would not in my opinion be acceptable. All websites that hold personal data are required to have a Privacy Statement. The absence of a Privacy Statement on Politics.ie in my opinion should be of concern to you and to all members.

Privacy controls on P.ie are unclear. In the last three weeks I have been told by more than one poster on P.ie that the name I used in registering my membership has been “bandied about” by a group or clique of site members (which included at least one moderator), in a hostile and physically threatening context.

In addition, a member of the same group used that same name in an abusive pm to me, clearly with the intention to intimidate and harrass. This same member has (I’m told) threatened violence against me in writing. I asked him several times on two threads how he obtained my registration name and he refused to reply.

Yet another member of the former user-group has recently claimed that one of this group is a Guard who knows the “real” identity of another site member. Questions about both Guard role and site privacy arise, if this is true. If untrue, it was an unacceptable untruth by the poster, intended to intimidate.

Lots of people have been getting banned in a counterrevolution by the former Libertas cadre and their former founder David Cochrane.

Cochrane spent lat night banning anti Libertas posters across the political spectrum from politics.ie the site he owns.

The bannings followed the online resignation from posting by Libertas employee Alan Kennedy aka Cookimonster on politics.ie. More on this when I have the time to wrote up the sordid affairs that take place in politics.ie re the sites admin and privacy.It seems David could not part with his Libertas buddy and decided to ban all anti Libertas posters from the site.

Colm KEENA Public Affairs CorrespondentDECLAN GANLEY’S Libertas organisation had income of €1.4 million in 2008, but spent €1.74 million, according to accounts filed in the Companies Registration Office.

The accounts, for the calendar year 2008, show that The Libertas Institute Ltd owed Mr Ganley €243,456 at the end of the period.

The amount owed to him included accrued interest of €23,915.

The accounts state the total interest incurred by Libertas during the year was €23,936, and so indicate no other substantial loans existed.

There is no information in the accounts as to the source of the Libertas funding, other than the mention of the funds loaned from Mr Ganley.

In September of last year Mr Ganley said he had given Libertas a loan of €200,000.

He told The Irish Times that a number of people had given loans, but did not give any figures. He said the remaining money came from donations.

The first Lisbon Treaty referendum was held in June 2008. The Libertas accounts show that it spent €712,947 on advertising during 2008, a further €148,843 on publicity, a further €177,162 on “election/referendum posters, and €79,219 on “other election/referendum material”. These figures total €1,118,171.

In September of last year Mr Ganley told The Irish Times that Libertas had spent “about €800,000” on its referendum campaign against the treaty.

The accounts show that during 2008 Libertas spent €148,368 on consultancy fees, €42,638 on market research, €17,134 on entertaining, €58,650 on transport and travel, €17,134 on legal fees, and €112,294 on office and stationary.

Wages and salaries for the year were €143,581.

Creditors at year’s end were owed €498,724.

The accounts show that Libertas acquired tangible assets with a value of €146,235 during 2008. Depreciation of the fixed assets, which are described as fixtures and fittings and equipment, is given as €54,376.

The accounts for the same company in 2007 showed essentially no activity and no money. The directors of the company are Mr Ganley and Chris Coughlan.

There was extensive correspondence between Libertas and the Standards in Public Office Commission in the wake of the 2008 referendum in relation to the source of the Libertas funding.

The commission sought evidence from Libertas about Mr Ganley’s loan and was supplied with a copy of a loan agreement document which was signed by Mr Ganley’s brother, Seán, on behalf of Libertas, and by Mr Ganley.

He describes himself as "a European dissident" and the Russian media has welcomed him with open arms. On a state visit this week, the Czech President showed that he is keen to develop economic and personal ties with Moscow — a policy which Hospodářské Noviny remarks is not without its disadvantages.

Václav Klaus' state visit to Russia comes just a few days after he provoked an outcry in Europe by imposing yet another obstacle to his signing of the Lisbon Treaty. In Moscow he told his hosts that he was "seriously concerned by the plan to reinforce European integration."

Klaus is one Czech politician who is not afraid of adopting a strongly pro-Russian stance, unlike Mirek Topolánek's government, which backed a policy of stronger links with the United States until it collapsed in April.

On the occasion of a visit to the United States in September, Klaus declared that Moscow was much less of a threat to the Czech Republic than an over-regulated European Union. In a recent interview with [the neo-conservative American daily] the Washington Times, he averred that "the political system and freedom in Russia is now the highest and the best in the history of Russia in the last two millennia."

When he was prime minister from 1992 to 1997, Václav Klaus generally adopted a pro-western line. It was only after he left the government that he began to explicitly criticize European integration and the United States. This change of course was later confirmed when he expressed his reservations about NATO's bombardment of Yugoslavia in 1999.

It was also during this period that the Russian media first took an interest in him. Today, many Russian journalists actively promote Klaus to the extent that he now occupies much more space in the Russian media than all of the other Eastern European leaders. His statements on "the gratuitous Russophobia" of the Western elites are especially popular with pro-Kremlin journalists, and also with the renowned Russian political analyst Mikhaïl Delyagin, who in a recent article on the Lisbon crisis presented an alleged quote from Klaus, which states that accession to the European Union has resulted in considerable financial losses for the Czech Republic.

"In many respects, Václav Klaus is something of a dinosaur from the period when a bi-polar division prevailed in world politics. Having attempted and failed to carve a pro-western niche for himself — a political role that was occupied by Václav Havel — it was only logical that he should turn towards Russia," remarks political scientist Michael Romancov, a professor at the Metropolitan University of Prague.

Notwithstanding his popularity in the Russian media, the leadership in the Kremlin has no scruples about dispelling any illusions that he may have about his status in international politics. On a previous visit to Russia, Klaus attempted to reassure Vladimir Putin that the American antimissile radar would not be directed towards Russia — an assertion, which amused the Russian Prime Minister, and to which he laughingly replied, "But in any case, you wouldn't have any influence over that." The Czech President was visibly stung by the exchange.

Increasingly rare visits to the West

Medvedev is without a doubt the most important head of state to invite Klaus since he was re-elected. However, he has only rarely been received by his western counterparts on state visits. "In part this is due to the fact that he was so hyperactive after his first election, when he visited a large number of countries, which means that he now has to wait a few years before he is invited again.

However, there is also a more obvious reason: heads of state do not want to invite him now because of his position on European integration," says the Chairman of the Christian democrats and a former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Cyril Svoboda. Ireland is one of the few western countries to have welcomed Klaus on an official visit since his re-election. But even there he managed to fall out with the government by publicly voicing his support for Declan Ganley's anti-Lisbon Libertas movement.

Relations between Klaus and his French opposite number, Nicolas Sarkozy, are particularly fraught, with both heads of state launching regular attacks on each other via the media. Lost recently in December of 2008, Klaus indirectly accused Sarkozy of damaging the European Union. Last year, he traveled to France twice but he did not meet with any political leaders in the course of his visits.

During his visit to Moscow, Václav Klaus "encouraged Russian companies to participate in calls for tender for new units to be added to the Temelín nuclear power station," notes Hospodářské Noviny. According to the Prague business daily, Russian companies voiced their interest in the Czech energy sector at the meeting of the Russian-Czech commission, held in Prague in September, which was attended by Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov and representatives of Loukoil, Russia's biggest private oil company. The Hospodářské Noviny report is quick to point out that Loukil "was the Russian sponsor of Blue Planet in Green Shackles," Klaus's book in which he dismisses concerns about global warming.

Will an Obama led White House continue to give contracts to Rivada, a firm associated with senior figures in G.W. Bush's administration? Ganley management firm posts €2.5m loss

GANLEY CORPORATE Management Ltd, a company associated with anti-Lisbon Treaty campaigner Declan Ganley, had €209,557 in cash on December 31st, 2008, according to accounts filed recently.

The abridged accounts show the company’s accumulated losses at year’s end were €2.57 million, down from €2.59 million the previous year. No profit figure is given in the accounts.

The cash balance at year’s end compared with €14,851 at the previous year’s end. However, creditors due to be paid within one year also increased substantially, to €135,408 at December 31st, 2008, from €16,248 the previous year.

The directors of the company, which is based at Mr Ganley’s home at Moyne Park, Tuam, Co Galway, are Mr Ganley and his brother Seán. The company’s two issued €2 shares are owned by Golden Bay Holdings Ltd, Charlestown, Nevis, West Indies, the company’s ultimate parent, according to the accounts. The Ganley brothers have no interest in the shares of the parent company, the accounts state.

Mr Ganley previously told The Irish Times he uses Ganley Corporate Management for the development of business projects. He owned the company’s shares up to December 31st, 2005.

Ganley Corporate Management was the owner of another Tuam company, Rivada Networks Ltd, in May 2006. By the end of that year, Rivada Networks was the subsidiary of a US company, Rivada Networks LLC, which has telecommunications contracts in the US.

Declan Ganley and Libertas European election scam exposed, more debts outstanding in Spain

Whatever hopes Declan Ganley may have had of starting a new party have been dealt another blow as the Spainish Libertas leader states he has been left high and dry with debts of 100,000 euro. Ganley in true Arthur Daly fashion arrived, said his bags were stolen and handed over 19,950 euro.

Libertas' John McGuirk (aka Journo on Politics.ie) claims no invoices were sent from Spain. John, like Declan Ganley, seems to have a bizarre relationship with facts and it is standard operating proceedure for him and Libertas to deny all claims and facts that upset his/their spin.

However the Spainish party can not say they were not warned they all received emails regarding Ganley and Libertas prior to running up debts which pointed out many facts about the party, its far right allies and members.

One such email from an anti-Libertas activist was replied to with legal threats from Spain.

Well next time you will know better.

PARTY FUNDS: A POLITICIAN that led Libertas’s European election campaign in Spain has said the group led by Declan Ganley had not paid an outstanding debt of more than €100,000. Libertas has rejected the claims.

Miguel Duran’s party, Libertas: Citizens of Spain, failed to win a single seat in last June’s elections. “I agreed to lead Spanish Libertas after Mr Ganley came with promises to finance us to the tune of €4 million,” he said.

“He assured me he had funding of more than €70 million for his European operation.

“We ran a cheap campaign because we had no money and had to borrow from friends. I began campaigning in April after Mr Ganley again promised to send money. But there was still no sign of it.

“When he came here his excuse was that his luggage had been stolen. He eventually paid me €19,950 in cash – I don’t know why it was such an odd number, perhaps someone forgot to put the last €50 note in the bundle,” he added.

“He kept on saying the money was on the way, but it never arrived.

“I have since learned that he made similar promises to other European groups and they never received any money either . . .”

A spokesman for Libertas, John McGuirk, yesterday rejected the contention made by Mr Duran that money was still outstanding. “No invoices have been received from Spain. Because there are no invoices, payments were not made.”

Mr McGuirk said the Spanish group had been repeatedly asked for invoices and said that invoices it had received had been paid.

Spanish Libertas, a loose coalition of three small centre-left regional parties, was not anti-Europe, said Mr Duran. He said he is pro-Europe, but he is against the way politicians are running Europe. “I believe in a united states of Europe, but not one ruled by lobby groups and unelected officials. This is what I signed up for. We wanted to change Europe from within, or at least I thought he did too.

“Now I think he wanted to frighten Europeans for his own ends and many of us fell for it.”

Mr Duran (54), a Barcelona-based lawyer blind from infancy, began as a braille operator and rose rapidly to become, at only 32, director general of Once, Spain’s powerful organisation for the blind and disabled. When private television channels were legalised in Spain he left Once to head Tele 5.

But in 1998 he was charged with insider trading and other financial irregularities. He was finally acquitted last year.

The cost of protecting Irish government debt and the Irish bond spread fell today on the first day of trading after the overwhealming vote in favour of the Lisbon Treaty.

LONDON, Oct 5 (Reuters) - The Irish 10-year government bond yield spread over euro zone benchmark German Bunds tightened by 6 basis points on Monday, while the cost of protecting Irish debt against default dropped.

Meanwhile, the 10-year Greek government bond yield spread over Bunds also narrowed by 6 basis points.

These moves followed Irish voters endorsement of the European Union's Lisbon Treaty and a widely-expected change of government following Greek elections at the weekend.

Five-year credit default swaps (CDS) on Irish government debt contracted to 130.5 basis points from 138.5 bps on Friday, according to credit monitor from CMA DataVision.

It means the cost falls to 130,500 euros to protect 10 million euros-worth of Irish government bonds .

The 10-year Irish/Bund spread was last seen at 159 bps, retaining their position as the euro zone's highest-yielding sovereign debt, according to Reuters data.

The equivalent Greek spread
was last seen at 129 bps, the third highest-yielding after Slovak bonds.

The Irish and Greek yield spreads led other intra euro zone spreads to narrow.

Far right fundamnatalist campaigner were responsible for achieving the incongruous No vote in two Irish constituencies in the remote Nort West of the country in Co. Donegal. However the area also has a strong Sinn Fein grassroots as it borders Co. Derry and is a county where many senior Sinn Fein and former IRA bigshots have houses, on the so called Costa Del Provo.
The far right campaign in the rest of the country was utterly rejected.
It is clear that in the months and years ahead a concerted effort will have to be made to identify the far right groups funding Irish activists and to expose their front organisations, such as Libertas, COIR, We The People, Taxi Drivers for Change, and more.

This blogger has noticed a proliferation of different front organisations and web sites that advocate anti immigrant and socially repressive measures aimed at gays and women and, what this blogger deems to be a racist term so called "non-nationals".

For the record the so called "non-nationals" come from somewhere and should be accorded the respect of being called by their nationality rather than a generic term that indictaes difference and helps engender sucpicion and distance.

Ireland has voted YES to being European so let us embrace that fact and the peoples of Europe and the world, just as we are accorded respect in Europe and elsewhere.
Right-wing groups linked to No vote in Donegal

DONEGAL: RIGHT-WING pro-life groups who were fearful of European intervention on social issues were a factor in Donegal North East, which returned the highest No vote in the country, it has been claimed.

Although there was a 13 per cent swing to the Yes camp, Donegal North East returned a No majority, with 51.5 per cent against and 48.5 per cent for.

Fianna Fáil Senator Cecilia Keaveney said: “The church factor was huge.”

She noted that, at a recent Joint Committee on European Affairs in the Oireachtas, Bishop Noel Treanor, Bishop of Down and Connor and formerly secretary general of the Commission of Bishops’ Conferences of the member countries of the EU, was invited to present the church’s position on the treaty.

Bishop Treanor had stated unequivocally that a Catholic could, in good conscience, vote Yes. There were no grounds to justify a No vote in the treaty on the basis of specifically religious or ethical concerns, she maintained.

However, some right-wing Christian groups openly called for a No vote, said Ms Keaveney, who canvassed outside Catholic churches in the Inishowen electoral area in Donegal North East.

She said she was surprised by the strength of feelings, and expressed disbelief at some of the literature handed out outside churches in recent weeks.

One pamphlet, she said, raised concerns about “pressure from the EU to encourage legislation on abortion, homosexual unions and in various other areas in which the Catholic social and moral teaching would be adversely affected”.

Sinn Féin Senator Pearse Doherty claimed on Highland Radio that both Tánaiste Mary Coughlan and Fianna Fáil MEP Pat the Cope Gallagher had a lot of questions to answer about their performances given that both Donegal constituencies voted No.

Ms Coughlan tried to take comfort in a slight reduction in the No vote (50.3 per cent compared with a national figure of 32.9 per cent) in her Donegal South West constituency. However, there was no hiding her disappointment at the result.

“Myself and Pat the Cope Gallagher have done all we could, and we always knew this was going to be a hard-fought battle. We have, however, made up a lot of ground on the last time nationally.”

Fianna Fáil TD Niall Blaney was disappointed with the result, although he noted the Yes vote had increased significantly. The onus was on politicians to “sell the European project a bit more”.

Fine Gael TD Joe McHugh said there was a “sense of dislocation” in Donegal. The county lacked the big-business, pro-treaty campaign that was obvious in counties like Kildare.
