According to Ireland's foreign minister Israel has kidnapped from the high seas Irish citizens among them eminent historian Fintan Lane. Dr. Lane is being held captive by Israel along with many others including Fiachra O Luain (you may remember Ganley ended up with 3000 of his votes in the euro elections http://peoplekorps.blogspot.com/2009/09/fiachra-o-luain-is-about-to-issue.html)

As a campaigner against anti Semitism I feel I must speak up and demand that Israel release the hostages.

The murder on the open sea today by Israel is a stain on the EU for lack of action and on the USA for giving the bold child sweets when it has a tantrum.

Fintan Lane is in illegal custody, kidnapped in international waters along with fellow peace activists. He was assisting in bringing aid to Gaza which is illegally blockaded by Israel. He is not a jihadist nor a terrorist he is an Irishman doing what we hope we do best make peace. Fintan Lane is a peace activist committed to non violence.

Well the some of the old gang have recently got together to discuss their pet hate Islam at the Neuwaldegg Institute in Vienna.



Declan Ganley was on the bill where he complained about harsh bankruptcy laws amongst other things. So too was Lord Libertas, David Alton and bunch of interesting right wing Christian fanatics and aristocrats.

It is clear that Ganley is intent on remaining in politics and his lap dog, former employee Alan Kennedy, was quick to post an outline of Ganley's speech on his blog. Full line up of these four day Islam bashing festival below.

When Libertas disappeared into thin air last June abandoning the offices which were provided by Garret Kellegher's Shelbourne Holdings they left 1000s of Euros worth of equipment abandoned in their wake.

As the rats deserted their sinking ship they abandoned both hard to carry items like flat screen TVs and mobile devices like phones.

The multi-thousand euro stash of goodies is just sat gathering dust in their vast, ghostly seventh-floor euro-HQ, which has been empty now for almost a year.

The Ireland-based campaigners simply upped sticks in early June last year, and 'just left their toys behind', in the words of one agent trying to find someone to take over the 760 meter square, 200,000 euro-a-year property.

Among the items strewn across this graveyard of Libertas's obsolete cause are a handful of enormous flatscreen televisions, two ceiling-mounted projectors, a 5000 euro colour printer/copier, and six Sky decoders (yes, SIX).

That's without counting the proliferation of phones, brand new (a year ago, and in any case barely used) desks and chairs, storage units, and all the telecoms and internet wiring necessary to run an office of upwards of 20 people.

Though there has been no official confirmation that the offices were let at a market rent, it was reported by this blogger that Garret Kellegher of Shelbourne Developments sat in on at least one Libertas planning session in December 2008. Given this perhaps this might be one reason why the property lies un-let since June 2009. Libertas's John McGurik did make a statement to this blogger stating that market rent was paid for the office space but as there is no third party confirmation we can dismiss McGuirk's official spin for the moment. On a side note McGuirk thinks unarmed journalists shot by US troops deserved their fate.
This would go down well with the former Contra supporter who founded Legatus, Tom Monaghan. Monaghan, the Domino's Pizza founder, is a leading light in the Christotaliban movement of fundamentalists determined to create a society based on fundamentalist christian values.

Libertas were one of their political balloons.

Ganley makes public appearance in Christotaliban stronghold

Declan Ganley will be among the speakers at an “Inishowen Is Doing It For Themselves” event tomorrow in Buncrana, Co Donegal. Is this the return of Ganley to political events?
The choice of Donegal is of interest as it was a staunchly anti Lisbon region and has been a seeding ground for quasi religious lies about the political process in Ireland.

“Inishowen Is Doing It For Themselves” is the brainchild of local businessman, Brian Flanagan, who has urged people from throughout the peninsula to attend.

He said: “Those who come along can look forward to hearing ideas and information on fecund markets towards which our youth – indeed our whole community – should be designing their career choices and entrepreneurial efforts. We would hope to repeat the event twice yearly and meantime set up some kind of a little team to continue the process between times.”

Libertas is the corpse warming up or .........?

All seems quite enough on the Libertas front but there have been a few little beeps on the radar in the past six months. On 28 November Libertas Party Ltd. changed directors. Chris Coughlan went out and in came little Seanie Ganley aka Sean Ganley brother of the bold Declan as of 28 November 2009.

The change was filed in February at the Companies Office in Dublin. This change brings to mind the Sly and the Family Stone classic "Its a family affair"

You might wonder why they bother, are they winding up? doing the final accounts or are they ensuring that the dynasty continues?

On another Ganley front Declan changed his residence details at Companies House in the UK on 25/02/2010 for Ganley International Ltd. As of 25 of February this year his residence is ...Ireland. The mind boggles

Christotaliban awake after Lenten Fast?

The Christotaliban have started their activities following the Lenten Fast. No doubt the increase in calorific intake has awakened certain cadre from the stupor of starvation. People Korps has received some rather nasty emails from a person purporting to be "one of the Christotaliban" aside from accusations of pedophilia being leveled at this blogger , the Christotaliban spokesperson issued veiled threats of physical violence and demonstrated and unhealthy interest in human fecal matter. All very unchristian in my book.

Dictatorship of Frank Bynre calling Taxi strikes without a union or mandate

It would appear that the claims of Frank Byrne who set up the Irish Taxi Council that he has 15000 members are a complete fabrication. Taxi drivers who want to make a living are being intimidated on Frank Byrne's self declared "strike days".

Despite the fact that Frank Byrne has no legal right to negotiate on anyone's behalf he is calling national strikes. According to one Waterford taxi driver Brendan Byrne

My first impressions of the G Hook interview with Frank Byrne was that he was a liar. He alleged that the protest on Thursday would be a peaceful protest, from my experience with protests in Waterford City he couldn't be further from the truth. Protesting drivers blocking ranks, verbally abusing drivers, intimidation of working drivers, " generally the type of behaviour taxi drivers are renowned for", a type of behaviour that i know we're all not associated with. Its a perception that's been created by our previous colleagues and some existing drivers

The same driver states

(1) Frank Byrne is mis informed, he believes that the Waterford Taxi Ass:: is represented of the Taxi Drivers in Waterford, he couldn't be further from the truth. There- fore the action he takes is misleading, his information is based on hear say.
(2) Secondly to keep you interested, under the Trade Unions Act 1941 certain criteria needs to be fulfilled before the Minster will engage in negotiations, ITC ( and i stand corrected) do not meet these standards, firstly they need a negotiations licence, which they don't have and, for every member they require, €200 to be lodged in the High Court. ITC claim to have 15000 members, that's a lot of money.
(3)If they are not legal why are they claiming to effect change, when they don't have the legal basis to make change or to negotiate with the Minster..
(4) Who is Wilbur Shaw and Noel McLaurance, (Waterford City) I've never elected theses individuals but they claim to have all the decision making power to call stoppages in Waterford. Which directly affects my ability to earn.
(5) Work in the area of knowledge, based on majority rule.
(6) Frank Byrne( i don't doubt your commitment but your getting it wrong) Waterford Taxi Ass; STOP this is real lives.Look my daily takings are shit but i need them
(7) Previous stoppages have achieved nothing.

Hypocrites Representatives, in Waterford City calling stoppages, when the very representatives( which i never elected) are double jobbing with Markets etc etc, when they have no kids little expense and property all over the place, its a conflict of interest.
(9) Get Real

There appears to be a level of intimidation and across the country Byrne's tiny cadre are intimidating decent taxi drivers who never joined the Irish Taxi Council, who were never balloted and who DO NOT SUPPORT Frank Byrne's approach.

While there is no denying there is a crisis in the taxi industry and drivers find it hard to make ends meet, Byrne is calling strikes with no popular mandate or support. It would appear that at most his followers number the hundreds not the thousands but some taxi drivers say that the claims of 15000 members are should read 15.

This blogger has stated before that Byrne represents a political interest with a far right anti immigrant agenda. His Irish Taxi Council are getting drunk on publicity and are falsely claiming to represent taxi men.

One taxi driver asserts that Byrne is stupid as he is calling a meeting in Swords to determine the length of the strike. However as one driver humorously stated on Irishtaxi.org referring to the ITC's latest flier

how stupid is the author of that flier , how can there be drivers manning ranks with pickets on a 24hr stoppage but yet it request(s) them to attend a meeting during a planned stoppage

Taxi drivers are calling Byrne's campaign dictatorship

It is time to shine a light on Frank Byrne and his self appointed role as a national representative taxi drivers. he is using a bad situation for drivers to promote his anti immigrant agenda.

Something needs to be done about this as it appears that tempers are flaring and just the other day a taxi driver was run over by a fellow taxi driver

Irish National Party exposed by Sunday World

David Barrett self styled leader of the far right in Ireland

Brian Whelan of the Sunday World has an expose of the Nazi leaning leader of the Irish National Party who is named as being David Barrett (29), from Crumlin. Whelan reports that "It is believed that the INP was to serve as a respectable front for the more hardline violent skinheads to spread their message of hate."
The party has been mooted for months and last year they debated changing the name so as not to sound like the British National Party. So far they have decided to keep their moniker.

David Barrett (29), from Crumlin, has been parading his new BNP style party in the media and hopes to officially launch the group later this year.

Describing himself as a “totalitarian”, skinheaded Barrett sees himself as a potential leader for Ireland’s growing population of frustrated young unemployed men.

However, Sunday World can reveal that the real motives behind Barrett and his party are to create a racially pure group styled on Hitler’s Nazi party.

In private internet postings seen by this paper Barrett revealed his obsession with Adolf Hitler as well as his hatred of Jewish people.

In one sick rant he declared “the dirty Jew that lives next door to the parents was in her garden today with a hose washing the patio, there’s a f*cking water shortage! And people wonder what Herr Hitler had an issue with.”

Use of Irish Passports in Dubai in Mahmoud al-Mabhouh assassination

The Irish government should examine this matter it the most forensic way, and if a state was involved then the entire EU must react as one in making that state come to heal. A state is a sovereign entity, its passports the property of that state. A state stealing the sovereign belongings of another state in order to commit an act of murder is tantamount to a declaration of war.

If our passports are misused by another state it means they have declared that we are nothing but their playthings. Our sovereignty is void we are their pawns. To exist as a nation we must resist all such incursions on our Nation. If another state committed an extra judicial murder using our passports to cover its tracks then the Irish state must react robustly and mobilise our European partners for a diplomatic offensive from which the Middle East may be reborn, and the present conflict laid to rest. If Mossad did this then Israel must be made to talk and to come to the table. We hold the power now.

Though press reports and Israeli embassy tweets point to the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh as being a Mossad hit, we might keep an open mind. It might have been some other party, I jest not, it might have been another...........but I doubt it.
