I watched Sarah Palin's video tonight and felt an uneasy sickness envelope my body. Her lip sucking and barely controlled anger was both fascinating and horrific. In a talk laden with buzz words designed to reach out to the lower depths of right wing discourse and demented fundamentalist Christian "values" she let rip.
While defending people's first Amendment right to free speech she attacked that very free speech that has landed her in hot water. However her choice of a famously anti Semitic reference "Blood Libel" to describe people who criticized her gung ho lock and load gun rhetoric she eclipsed all previous Palinisms.
Some like Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Democrat of Florida, who is a close friend of Ms. Giffords, issued a statement condemning her use of the phrase “blood libel.” saying
“Palin’s comments either show a complete ignorance of history, or blatant anti-Semitism,” said Jonathan Beeton, Ms. Wasserman Shultz’s spokesman. “Either way, it shows an appalling lack of sensitivity given Representative Giffords’s faith and the events of the past week.”
However as any idiot even amongst Palin's speech writers could have read on the page Wikipedia:Blood Libel what the phrase means we can only assume that Buck Shot Sarah meant to insult Jews and one in particular Congresswoman Giffords . However this is normal behavior for her and her Christotaliban followers. The blood in their eyes is real , the fundamentalist hatred in their hearts is real, their intention to cause violence is real.

Her introduction of militaristic rhetoric in democratic politics indicates the fact that the far right will use any means to destabilise democracy. Glenn Beck and Palin and Fox News may well have blood on their hands and it is not the blood of their Christ but rather innocents including a nine year old girl.

Who is the psycho? Is it Sarah Palin who puts targets on democratically elected representatives and her and Glenn Beck's Fox News with their hate talk talk and vitriol, or a young man who pulled their trigger? The former will no doubt retreat into their high moral tones while the latter will be tried and if found guilty jailed for life without parole or the judicial form of murder called execution which is legal in Arizona.
Sarah Palin should apologise to the people of America and to the upholders of the constitution and the republic that her hate rhetoric has stained. She should just retreat back to killing the wildlife of Alaska instead of targeting her political opponents for assassination!! Remember one of the first dead in this incident was a nine year old innocent child.
Mrs Palin, please remember blood rhetoric begets blood and only the most naive of people would use such rhetoric in public life unless they desired consequences such as today's horrific events. If you are that naive then you have no place running for the presidency or any other elected office. If you are not that naive then you are a dangerous psychopath as culpable as the person alleged to have pulled the trigger.

I take no sides in their legal issues with Julian Assange but the fact that they are attempting to deny a man who has not beenconvicted of a crime in their country his liberty on draconian bail conditions is a sickening thing. Swedish groupies should also be boycotted by the rich, the famous and even low life rock and roll trash.
It is notable that Sweden also recently released political asylum documents to the UK in a case against a the man who had applied to them for political asylum. Declan Ganley's much hyped appearance on Sky News last Tuesday was a poor affair if he intended it to launch yet another political career. It was delayed by Brian Cowen's press conference and the media frenzy surrounding it. When Ganley appeared eventually, he looked rather spivvy in his trademark Arthur Daly tan coat with black velvet collar. Interviewed on the street outside the Cowen press conference he cut a lonely and insignificant figure. He was interviewed along with Guy Verhofstadt from a Brussels studio. Ganley was cut off by a presenter who admonished him for mis quoting Verhofstadt. FAIL Ganley ! Which brings me to the next item.
However Ganley has being tweeting like mad the last few days the most interesting one I have found was directed at his minion Alan kenndey (Cookiemonster on politics.ie).
William Shirer is most famous for his history book "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" (1960). Given the aspirations of and political groupings in his Libertas Party, it is perhaps surprising that he had not thought to read this classic at an earlier date. perhaps the fact that it is called " The Rise AND Fall" was off putting to Herr Ganley. Now that he has taken two sore kickings at the ballot box he may be trying to see how to effect that all illusive "Rise" .
It s widely suspected that Ganley's ego will be putting itself forward in the next Irish general election.
As I have long predicted Ganley has returned . As if things were not bad enough in Ireland we will now have a Christian fundamentalist with unsavory links to Europe's far right and US neo cons intent on an all out war on Islamic nations. During my various campaigns against Libertas I have referenced the similarities between the current economic crashes and the last days of the Weimar republic. The wolf in sheeps clothing is amongst the flock.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry is hoping to use social media to brand Israel and the government is about to spend $25 million on influencing social media. In their first salvo
The campaign will focus on hosting figures the ministry has identified as having significant influence on public opinion. The first step in that effort was seen in ministry involvement in coordinating Arianna Huffington's visit to Israel. She is the co-founder of the prominent Huffington Post political blog.

This begs the question, if the Libertas Party Ltd. never traded where and to what entity did the donations people made to the Libertas Party on their now defunct website and in other fund-raising endeavors go? What "company" took control of funds. Neither the Libertas Party Ltd and The Libertas Foundation Ltd ever filed accounts. The next account filing deadline for the Libertas Institute Ltd. is 30 Septeber 2010. We will await these accounts with great interest. However it must be asked if the Libertas Party Ltd which was founded to "carry on the business of a European political party" and according to Declan Ganley, speaking to the Sunday Telegraph was going to start " to raise £75 million (€92.8 million) from online donations to run candidates in all 12 of Britain's European Parliament constituencies, and in seats throughout the EU". Libertas sought cash through paypal account buttons on its website. At the time commenting on Ganley's Tweets I wrote

Where did the money go if the Libertas Party Ltd never traded? How many Libertas companies were there? Ganley on the campaign trail in the run up to the Lisbon 2 referendum in Ireland was confronted by the Charter Group's assertion that he and his party were anti-union as he had a strike breaking clause in Memorandum of Association of the Libertas Party Ltd
The Charter Group also criticised Libertas as being anti-worker. Mr Geraghty said the Libertas articles of association suggested it would contribute funds to anybody resisting interference in its business by strike movements or organisations.
However, Libertas chairman Declan Ganley said he was unaware what was in its articles of association. “We should check but I don’t know what it says. When Ganley was asked mid campaign this question about strikebreaking and his company The Libertas Party Ltd, he did not say that the company was not trading. He said "We should check but I don’t know what it says". What does that mean? Why was he commenting on a company that according to his former employee never traded? Why not just say that company is not trading. It must also be asked , for what entity was he trying to raise £75 million? According to Alan Kennedy is was The Libertas Institute Ltd that " used for the campaigns" but the website collecting paypal donations was the Libertas Party website libertas.eu.
The question again is where did donations to the Libertas Party go if not to the Libertas Party Ltd. When will they be accounted for? Did THE LIBERTAS INSTITUTE LIMITED collect the cash or some other company? Were donors aware that the Libertas party was not the company they were paying funds to? And what should be done about this?

So if everything is so hunky-dory why have no accounts been filed? Is it an offence not to file?
Why would accounts be filed for a company which has never traded? Again, the Libertas Institute Limited was the company used for the campaigns and has not been dissolved. It still exists.
The Libertas Party Ltd, the company established by the anti-Lisbon Treaty campaigner Declan Ganley as part of his attempt to create a pan-European political party, has been dissolved.
The company was incorporated in November 2008 and has not filed any accounts. In June, Mr Ganley wrote to the Companies Registration Office seeking to have the company struck off. The Libertas Foundation Ltd, also established by Mr Ganley in 2008, has similarly been dissolved.
It took a lot of work but everyone who helped destroy this entity should be proud of themselves. Well done to all especially the voters of Europe who thwarted their attempt to undermine the European Union and the European parliament.

However news reaches this blogger that the board of the Bundesbank had already voted to remove him. His resignation comes in the face of his imminent forcible removal from the post. A pity he has been allowed to save face but at least he will be gone by the end of the month. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party in Germany who are partners with Ireland's Fine Gael party in the European parliament's EPP group. It is believed that he has become an embarrassment to all who previously worked with him politically.
Two Kochs are funding the death of democracy in the USA. These scions of anti democratic agitation quite correctly view democracy, public health care, social programs and indeed society as a stumbling block to their own profit margins. Why two guys who are the third richest persons on the planet should be worried about their own humongous profits is beyond me. However as I have stated before the people who brought us Libertas, and the people behind such ventures in the privatization of politics actually hate the people. The fact is that these hyper polluting industrialists, (the Koch brothers are among the globes top polluters) needed a grassroots that would campaign for own return to serfdom. The Tea Bag Party is that vehicle. Naturally, Beck invoked prayer against this prospect, which is what people resort to when they don't understand what is happening to them.
Libertas's Alan Kennedy has returned to his former day job working in a bookies office. So much for the thousand year Reich. Kennedy who posts on Ireland's most corrupt bulletin "bored" Politics.ie as Cookiemonster is a, super far right, former employee of the US arms industry lovely Declan Ganley. On Ganley's former employee , David Cochrane's Politics.ie , he has kept the far right flag flying with intermittent breaks to take bets from "annoying" punters. What are the odds on Cookie Kennedy getting back into a funded political role? eh?
