Hermann (Goering) Kelly, Irish Mail freelancer is secretly running Libertas Raymond O'Malley's campaign in the East
Hermann Kelly is secretly running Raymond O'Malley's campaign in East. It seems that Libertas want to dump some of the blame for the immigration/emigration debacle on his shoulders. however, the Blue card initiative is that Simon's is pushing is also contained in Ganley's Book "The Road To Democracy" written by ageing British agent Bruce Arnold.
John McGuirk is closely working with Simons and O'Malley so is obviously also involved in the race card his pal Richard Waghorne is also working at the Irish Mail .
The editors at the mail should take note.....are you feeling me Enda?

Ryszard Bender an ultra far right anti Semite runs for Libertas in Poland
One Libertas candidate is senator Ryszard Bender, an ex member of the League of Polish Families who is now in PiS (Law and Justice). He is extreme right winger whose anti Semitism has been noted in academic journals
Similarly theIndex on Censorship describes the LPR as 'the most far-right' party in the Sejm andSamoobrona as 'the most extreme'.7 Noting that one LPR leader (Ryszard Bender) hadcampaigned against President Kwasniewski's commemoration of the Jedwabne massacre, theStephen Roth Institute at Tel Aviv University describes the LPR as the 'first party of the anti-semític extreme right in postwar Polish history to gain seats in parliament'.Similarly, theInstitute's claim that Andrzej Lepper of Samoobrona 'has tried to distance himself from hisfar right past...by condemning antisemitism' seems to imply that he was (and perhaps still is)both far right and antisemític.

Libertas in Poland not as dead as it looked
Dominika Pszczolkowska(Dominika Pszczolkowska on BBC The Record )The Polish branch of Libertas may not be as dead as it looked. They are battling for candidates with Law and Justice (Kaczyński’s party) and have managed to attract some known euroscetics.
Some time ago I reported here that Declan Ganley’s Libertas has veered off course in Poland and is linking itself with very marginal figures. I don’t know if they heard my message, but it seems they are trying to fix the problem. Thay have had some success in attracting hard euroscepric right wingers.
One of them, as Gazeta Wyborcza reports here (in Polish) is Anna Sobecka, currently an MP with Law and Justice, and formerly a presenter with Radio Maryja. The radio (if you haven’t heard) is notorious for its right wing, antieuropean and antisemitic views, but at a certain stage was the most influential voice of the extreme right in Poland.
Another Libertas candidate is senator Ryszard Bender, also an extreme right winger attracted by Law and Justice during the last election to push the League of Polish Families off the political stage.
This shows that Libertas is managing to enter the main current of extreme right wingers in Poland. The Law and Justice are obviously afraid of a new rival on the right and are trying to attract extremists as well - their candidate in Łódź will be current MEP Urszula Krupa (elected previously from the now nearly dead League of Polish Families) who has publicly stated that the aim of the EU is to reduce the number of Poles to 15 mln (from the current 39 mln or so. Don’t ask me how).
So does all this mean Libertas will win any votes in Poland? I still don’t think so. The times for extreme right wingers are (finally) not good in Poland. Being on the right side of Law and Justice can’t do Libertas any good. The 5% threshhold is still very far. But it’s nice to watch their competition with Law and Justice, let’s hope they weaken each other.
Also, it’s amazing how far the Polish Libertas is from Declan Ganley’s message of being proeuropean, but against the Lisbon treaty. These guys are antieuropean, not to mention as backward as they come. Have you noticed, Mr. Ganley?

It would be interesting to know what the Portuguese MPT make of the Polish Libertas candidates.
A Polish journalist, Dominika Pszczolkowska, who writes a blog in English, has listed the names of two Libertas Polska candidates on her blog.
One of the Libertas candidates mentioned by her is Ryszard Bender.
Is this the same Ryszard Bender mentioned in this book chapter? The Jedwabne massacre (or pogrom), which Ryszard Bender didn't want President Kwasniewski to commemorate, led to the death of up to 440 Jewish men, women and children:Quote:
Noting that one LPR leader (Ryszard Bender) had campaigned against President Kwasniewski's commemoration of the Jedwabne massacre, the Stephen Roth Institute at Tel Aviv University describes the LPR as the 'first party of the anti-semític extreme right in postwar Polish history to gain seats in parliament'. Quote:
A month later, on the morning of July 10 1941, by the order of mayor Karolak and German gendarmerie, a group of non-Jewish Poles from Jedwabne and its neighborhood rounded up the local Jews as well as those seeking refuge from nearby towns and villages such as Wizna and Kolno. The Jews were taken to the square in the centre of Jedwabne, where they were ordered to pluck grass, attacked and beaten. A group of about 40 Jews were forced to demolish a statue of Lenin erected by NKWD and then carry it out of town while singing Soviet songs. The local rabbi was forced to lead this procession. The group was taken to a pre-emptied barn, killed and buried along with fragments of the monument, while most of the remaining Jews, estimated at around 250 to 400, including many women and children, were led to the same barn later that day, locked inside and burned alive using kerosene from the former Soviet supplies (or German gasoline, by different accounts) in the presence of eight German gendarmes shooting those trying to escape. The remains of both groups were buried in two mass graves in the barn.
The other candidate mentioned, Anna Sobecka, is a staunchly conservative Catholic, who claimed (Google Translate) that the Charter of Fundamental Rights would 'encourage abortion and euthanasia', open 'the door to eugenic practices', lead to the 'promotion of gay pseudo-marriage', protect 'homosexual orientation', 'encourage children to rebel against parents' and would lead to the 'elimination of marriage as the sole foundation of the family'.
She also stated that 'the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights [would] strengthen trends towards discrimination against Catholics because of their religious and moral beliefs 'and that 'people faithful to [Christian] values [would] become second-class Europeans' if the Charter became law.
Does Eline van den Broek, lead Libertas candidate in the Netherlands, know about these people?
She was a member of the VVD (the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy), a Dutch poltical party whose 2005 Liberal Manifesto included the following positions:Quote:
- The principle of non-discrimination should be given more importance than the exercise of religion.
- 'Social rights' are to be continued. These are not simple 'rights', but they also create 'obligations'.
- Euthanasia is part of a person's 'right' to self-determination.
- Commitment to an open economy, with a 'regulated free-market', including Patents.
- Support for the freedom of contract. No nationally binding collective bargaining agreements.

Declan Ganley moved his main business concern to the West Indies in 2005 and refuses to answer any question regarding using tax shelters
Ganley has since 2005 availed of a tax haven in the West Indies for his Rivada Networks. This would seem to have preceded the multi million dollar US Defence contracts that Rivada Pacific received on a no competition basis. By moving his concern off shore he has ensured that the Irish people do not share in his "windfalls". Ireland has one of the lowest corporate tax rates in the EU which Mr. Ganley could have availed of but rather than pay 10% corporate tax to the Irish state he claims to love he took his cash elsewhere.
Irish voters in the North West constituency for the European Union should bear this in mond when the enter the ballot box on 5 June.
Ganley has created a tiny handful of jobs in Ireland over the decades and all related to his running a business that is now off shore or a political party that claims to want greater transparency, accountability and democracy.
Rivada funded the early Libertas by employing Naoise Nunn and David Cochrane to work on creating the brand. It is ironic that a company supplying US Defence interests with communication interests and operating from an off shore location helped create a political movement that has the support of nationalists, far right groups and libertarians across Europe.
This is all too weird for words. Like much else in Ganleys history and something that he acknowledged to Jason O'Toole of the Hot Press , if it was in a novel it would be hard to believe. Sadly the Ganley story is all too real.
Ganley through his spokesperson refused to answer questions yet again.
Ganley moved his stake in Rivada to West Indies
FILINGS IN the Companies Registration Office (CRO) in Dublin show that Declan Ganley’s interest in his Tuam company, Rivada Networks, was transferred to a West Indies company in December 2005, a short time before the Tuam company became a subsidiary of a US company based in Colorado.
The Colorado company is involved in large telecommunications contracts in the US with a range of public organisations including the military. However, the profits arising from this business cannot be ascertained.
Mr Ganley, who is a candidate in the upcoming European elections, was asked by way of a spokesman for his party, Libertas, to provide comment on the filings but declined to do so. The auditors of his companies accounts, Michael Cuddy Co, Athlone, Co Westmeath, did not return a call.
Filings in the CRO for a company called Ganley Corporate Management Ltd show that Mr Ganley held the two issued shares in the company up until December 31st, 2005, when they were transferred to Golden Bay Holdings Ltd, with an address in Nevis, in the British West Indies.
In February 2006 a form B5 was lodged with the Revenue Commissioners Capital Taxes Division and forwarded to the Companies Registration Office, having been stamped by the Revenue capital duty section. This form stated the shares had been allotted to the Caribbean company.
Mr Ganley has in the past said that he used Ganley Corporate Management for the development of business projects.
The annual return for the year to May 16th, 2006, for Rivada Networks Ltd, which is based in Mr Ganley’s home in Tuam, Co Galway, show its 100 issued shares were owned by Ganley Corporate Management Ltd as of the end of that period. The company was incorporated on November 11th, 2005. On that basis, it appears the company was owned by Ganley Corporate Management, and through it by Mr Ganley, up to the end of 2005, when ownership was transferred to Golden Bay Holdings in Nevis.
The Rivada Networks accounts for the year to December 31st, 2006, say the company is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Rivada Networks LLC, of Aeroplaza Drive, Colorado.
It is not known when this company was incorporated and the date when the Irish company became its subsidiary is not given in the accounts.
The accounts also state that the directors of the Tuam company, Declan Ganley and James O’Reilly, had no interest in the shares of the parent company at the beginning or end of the 2006 year.
The various accounts filed by Rivada Networks, Tuam, indicate little by way of commercial activity by the company. Its accounts continued to state that neither Mr Ganley nor Mr O’Reilly had any interest in its US parent up to October of last year, when Mr Ganley was asked about the fact. He declined to comment, but a week later a new set of accounts for the 2007 year was filed in which it was stated that the two men did have an interest in the US parent. However, the accounts for earlier years have not been amended.
The new 2007 accounts state that the Rivada group was restructured during that year. On March 1st, Rivada Networks LLC became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rivada Networks International LLC, of Delaware, as did Rivada Networks of Tuam. The accounts state that Mr Ganley had a 45.902 per cent shareholding in Rivada Networks LLC at the outset of 2007, and a 43.2071 per cent shareholding in Rivada Networks International at the end of the year.
Mr O’Reilly’s shareholdings went from 4.1966 per cent of the original parent at the outset of the year, to 4.1422 per cent in the new parent at the end of the year. It is not known who else has shares in Rivada other than Mr Ganley and Mr O’Reilly.
The statement that Mr Ganley had no interest in the parent company of Rivada Networks at the time when it was apparently owned by Golden Bay Holdings is in keeping with the filings for Ganley Corporate Management Ltd. The accounts for the year to the end of 2007 state he had no interest in the company’s parent and the annual return for the year to September 2008 shows Ganley Corporate Management is still owned by Golden Bay Holdings.

Libertas Posters in Ireland outright Lies confirmed by Ganley on BBC . Libertas lies on Lisbon I confirmed by leading Irish jurist
During the Lisbon campaign Libertas billboards falsely stated that if people voted Yes to Lisbon Irish citizens would be conscripted into a EU army. Firstly there is and was no EU army, secondly there is no provision for conscription in the Lisbon Treaty and thirdly such an issue as conscription would be a solely Irish question to legislate for.
One of the current posters that Libertas are using in Ireland " juxtaposes a picture of Mr Cowen scratching his head with a smiling Mr Ganley. It contrasts job losses with Mr Ganley’s “record of job creation and success in business”.
However just this week on BBC Hardtalk Declan Ganley was pressed by Jonathan Dimbleby on how much business he does in Ireland and how many people he employs here.
Firstly Ganley tried to evade the question. However, when pressed he admitted that over 90% of his business was in the USA. He did not say where the other (up to)10% is . It is not in Ireland unless the Libertas Party Ltd. accounts for a $20 million turnover which would amount to 10% of $200 million defence contracts Ganley has with the US military.
Pressed on how many employees he had in Ireland Ganley was forced to admit that he only"had a team" in Ireland. In other words he employs a few people here like David Cochrane, who already has a job running Politics.ie, and John McGuirk who Ganley uses as press spokesman in Ireland.
The fact that Ganley is using such disingenuous posters in his bid to get elected to the European parliament should be a warning to both Irish and overseas voters. Ganley is banking on the power of expensive advertisement campaigns to con voters into accepting his morally corrupt distortion of the truth.
Is this the type of man that the people of Ireland's North West constituency want representing them in the EU at a time of particular economic difficulty or indeed any time?
What I find remarkable is that Ganley and Libertas, taking cynicism to a new level, they are fully aware that media outlets and bloggers will comment on the fact that their posters are misrepresentation's and lies yet they continue to adopt this type of ad campaign.
While this blogger has often compared Libertas publicity and statements to the campaigns designed by Dr. Goebbels to promote the Nazi party and state, this may be dismissed by some as the rantings of an anonymous blogger. I was therefore both heartened and also a little shocked this week to note that in a working draft of a polemic by a retired Irish Supreme Court judge, former European Court judge and one of the most respected jurists in the Europe, Donal Barrington, use the same analogy, comparing Libertas's billboard campaign for the Lisbon I referendum last year to those of Dr. Goebbels.
Be warned The Big Lie really is the modus operandi of Libertas and its pr team led by amongst others, John McGuirk, Anita Kelly, Lt Col Robin Matthews (British Army retired) and Joe Trippi.
Of course the buck stops with the man who provides the bucks and who the latest ads are designed to get elected, Declan Ganley. It would also appear that the Libertas campaign in Ireland is set to cost millions of Euros despite the fact that they have only announced two candidates.

Libertas refuses to go public on party funding despite claims to be the party of transparency
The story in the Irish Independent today is highly topical given the funding scandal that is taking place over Libertas in Poland
Libertas founder to fund Polish party through the back door?
30th March 2009
Irish millionaire businessman Declan Ganley plans to take advantage of a loophole in Polish law that would allow him to fund the Polish branch of euroskeptic political party Libertas.
Polish law bans foreign financial funding in domestic politics, but Ganley appears to have found a way to bypass current legislation. The founder of Libertas and ardent euroskeptic proposes to act as a guarantor if Libertas Poland are unable to repay the bank loans issued to run the party.
The story broke in Saturday's edition of Dziennik and provoked outrage amongst politicians, who described the news as “scandalous.”
Zbigniew Chlebowski, PO's parliamentary club leader, called the news “unsettling” as, “a bank guarantee that gives a party money for elections can be given by a person that is prohibited by law to do so. This means to circumvent the existing rules,” he said.
Mr Chlebowski called for fast and decisive action in dealing with Mr Ganley's proposed funding, and expects advice from specialist lawyers to be available in the coming days.

Libertas refuses to go public on party funding
By Aine Kerr Political Correspondent
Tuesday March 31 2009
LIBERTAS last night supplied the State's ethics watchdog with a series of financial documents in a bid to provide "detailed answers" about its funding.
But the anti-Lisbon Treaty organisation will not be making public any copies of the bank statements or loan agreements, despite its own calls for greater political transparency.
Two weeks ago, the organisation failed to provide adequate information to the Standards in Public Office (Sipo) commission on where it got the money to fund its expensive campaign for a 'No' vote in the Lisbon Treaty referendum. It has since been accused of "not being willing to operate under the Law" by Fianna Fail.
Libertas last night submitted documents in relation to three key issues queried. Copies of a €200,000 loan agreement between Libertas chief Declan Ganley and the organisation were provided, after Sipo first wrote to it last June seeking details of any loans provided to the organisation for the referendum campaign.
Details of the thousands of books on the Lisbon Treaty supplied by the Foundation for European Democracy and distributed by Mr Ganley were also submitted.
Sipo had raised questions about whether these constituted a donation because the material could be deemed to be influencing the vote's outcome.
However, legal advisers for Libertas are said to have argued that the books do not constitute a donation because the material was neutral and simply relayed the contents of the Lisbon Treaty.
The third aspect of the submission covers the employees of Mr Ganley's Rivada company, who worked for Libertas in their spare time and on a voluntary basis. Sipo again questioned if the use of these employees constituted a donation. Documents provided seek to outline when staff worked for Rivada, then moved to Libertas.
Asked why the organisation had decided against making the documents public, a spokesman said: "Why would we make them public, spend weeks explaining the details and have the Opposition attacking the contents when they won't do the same thing. There's a need for fairness."

Declan Ganley and Libertas fail to answer Irish official body over their funding for Lisbon. SIPO report released
How can Ganley continue his charade of "politics". His soundbites are all well and good, but he has no record of being democratic or transparent. Indeed the reality of Libertas and ganley proves his complete diregard for his own catch phrases. He is the self appointed leader of a private political party. He is appointing employees to run as candidates. He will not comply withIrish law as regards declarations re funding, he refuses to clarify the truth behind his Anglo Adriatic Investment Fund and his invovlment in the Iraq war. Ganley's Tigris Staffing firm operated in Bagdhad in the months after the 2003 invasion, Ganley has just appointed the man who led that invasion Gen ricahrad Myers to the board of Rivada Networks.. He was also collaborating with Ted Stevens the disgraced Alaksan senator who helped ganley get sweetheart deals from the US military..
As SIPO note the fact that Ganley's Rivada networks defence contracting firm actually employed Libertas staff while they ran Libertas in 2007 and 2008 has not been explained to the office. these staff included David Cochrane owner of the site politics.ie which is a highly popular political chat room moderated by Libertas staff. Ganley also has links to the former UKIP site British democracy forum in the UK. This use of political chatrooms in the run up to their launch has enabled Libertas to test the pulse and attempt to head off the concerns widely expressed about Ganley, his character and his unexplained claimed fortune.
Libertas have as yet not issued policies and according to one source they have postponed launching policies until even later than the promised 25 March.
The Standards Commission wrote to four of the registered third parties
regarding the provision of loans - Libertas, CÓIR, Campaign Against EU
Constitution and Irish Alliance for Europe. These groups were selected on
the basis that they intended to incur expenditure of €10,000 or above at the
referendum. The Irish Alliance for Europe, CÓIR and Campaign Against EU
Constitution informed the Standards Commission that they had not received any
loans to finance their referendum campaigns. Libertas had already informed the
Standards Commission of a loan provided by Mr Declan Ganley. The letter to
Libertas asked whether other loans had been provided to fund the referendum
campaign. At the time of writing this report, and despite a number of written
and telephone reminders to Libertas, it has failed to provide the required
information to the Standards Commission.
Further correspondence
with Libertas
The "responsible person" of Libertas, Mr Naoise Nunn informed
the Standards Commission on 30 September 2008 that he had resigned from Libertas
with effect from 19 September 2008. In addition to furnishing a
Certificate and bank statement in respect of the third party's political
donations account, the responsible person must also ensure that any prohibited
donations which might be received by the third party are returned to the donor
or remitted to the Standards Commission. The Standards Commission wrote,
therefore, to Libertas requesting it to provide details of the person who had
replaced Mr Nunn as responsible person for Libertas. At the time of
writing this report, Libertas has not provided this information to the Standards
Commission.
Referendum campaign funding by Libertas
Following
media reports, the Standards Commission decided to make certain enquiries with
Libertas in order to ensure that it complied with its obligations under the Act
regarding the opening and maintenance of a political donations account and the
non-acceptance of prohibited donations. In that regard the Standards
Commission made the following enquiries with
Libertas:
a) Employees of Rivada
Networks Ltd
It was suggested that persons employed by Rivada may have been
paid by that company while working for Libertas on its referendum
campaign. If this was the case it could be regarded as a donation to
Libertas from Rivada. If the total value of the services provided exceeded
€6,348.69 in any year, Libertas would be required to refund the excess donation
to Rivada.
Libertas confirmed that Rivada employees "who worked on
the Libertas project did so in their spare time and on a voluntary
basis."
On 11 September 2008 the Standards Commission asked
Libertas to provide further details of the employees who worked on the
referendum campaign. At the time of writing this report, Libertas has not
provided this information to the Standards
Commission.
b) Use of "The Lisbon
Treaty: the Readable
Version"
The Standards
Commission was aware that Libertas had distributed a book - "The Lisbon Treaty:
the Readable Version" - as part of its referendum campaign. It was
reported that the book "sells for €20" and that 35,000 copies of the book had
been given to Libertas by another organisation, the Foundation for European
Democracy. A donation is defined in the Act as a contribution given for
political purposes. This includes the free or below cost provision of
goods, property or services. If the books were given for the purpose of
assisting Libertas in its referendum campaign and if the total value of the
books provided to Libertas exceeded €6,348.69 in any year, Libertas would be
required to refund the excess donation to the Foundation for European
Democracy. The Standards Commission requested Libertas to clarify the
position with regard to the use of these books, whether they were provided free
or below commercial cost, and querying why the provision of these books should
not be regarded as a donation to
Libertas.
On 13
August 2008 Libertas confirmed that it had received a number of copies of this
book from "the EU Democrats". Libertas stated that the books did not
contain any political messaging and that they were distributed free of
charge. The Standards Commission considered that this response was not
entirely relevant in determining whether provision of the books constituted a
donation to Libertas. The Standards Commission wrote again to Libertas
advising it that if the books were provided free of charge (where a charge
normally applies) and were given for the purposes of seeking to influence the
outcome of the referendum it would be regarded as a donation to Libertas.
Libertas was asked for its further comments as to why the provision of these
books should not be regarded as a donation. At the time of writing this report,
Libertas has still not provided any further comments on this matter to the
Standards Commission.
read full report here
c)
Loans provided to Libertas
The Standards Commission's position on the issuing and repayment of loans is set
out in Part 4 of its guidelines for political parties (published in December
2006). The same position applies to loans to third parties. The
guidelines state that where an individual or body, who or which is not a
financial institution, gives a loan to a person who is covered by the Act, it
must be evident that the loan offered is a bona fide loan and that the interest
chargeable on the loan reflects interest charged by financial institutions on
loans of similar amount and duration. The Standards Commission wrote to
Libertas on 19 June 2008 requesting details of any loans provided to it from a
financial institution or other person for the purposes of funding its referendum
campaign.
Mr
Ganley replied on 13 August 2008 confirming that Libertas had received a
personal loan from him "in respect of which a detailed legal agreement and
repayment plan in accordance with commercial lending norms" had been
agreed. In its guidelines for political parties the Standards Commission
advises that it may require sight of the terms and conditions, including the
interest charge, applying to a loan provided by a person who or which is not a
financial institution. The Standards Commission wrote to Mr Ganley on 22
August and requested a copy of the legal agreement and repayment plan for the
loan made to
Libertas.
In spite
of subsequent correspondence with Mr Ganley and his legal representatives, the
information requested by the Standards Commission has not been provided by
Libertas at the time of writing this report.

Libertas UK on Facebook run by British Democracy Forum Admin Anthony Butcher
Anthony Butcher run Libertas facebook in UK and like other Libertasemployee David Cochrane is an admin of a major Irish political Bullien board politics.ie
In Ireland Ganley also employs David Cochrane who owns Irelands biggest political bulletin board Politics.ie which has recently been widely discredited as a Libertas run front. Cochrane has been employed by Ganley since 2007 when he worked for the military supply company Rivada on the Libertas project.
According to the Irish Times
How long has Butcher been employed by Libertas? Was he too employed by Rivada?Libertas was incorporated in October 2006. Seven people signed the document establishing the company, five of whom were Rivada employees. Libertas uses the same address and telephone number as Rivada, in Tuam.
During the referendum campaign Nunn, the then "executive director" of Libertas, told The Irish Times that he was an employee of Rivada since October 2006 and still was. He said Ganley would assign him to his duties and that his main activity was working for Libertas.
He also said the Libertas campaign director, David Cochrane, was an employee of Rivada who had started working for Rivada in 2007, and worked mainly on developing the Libertas website. Nunn said he received his instructions from Ganley. see here

Plan B: Libertas relaunch with mindless sound bites and no substance
Libertas relaunch amid writs and waffle!
Yesterday was a busy day for Declan Ganley, while his barristers processed his attempt to get an injunction against The Village magazine he had time to speak to Ireland's RTE Radio Pat Kenny Show. Declan Ganley said “One way or the other, we are coming. Libertas is going to happen to Brussels, whether they like it or not.”
Libertas is going to happen TO Brussels? What does that mean Declan?
Are Libertas going to issue some policies?
By the time the court met for a second time Declan was rumoured to be in Germany.
Earlier on the radio he said he would overcome his failure to win recognition from the European Parliament. “We can run candidates anyway because we are registering Libertas as a political party nationally in every member state of the EU.”
So he has not registered in every state. How organised is that? Is this plan B?
One potential candidate is the legal advisor to Ireland's Pro Life Campaign, Caroline Simons. Caroline has a legal background and said last night she was considering running in the European elections in Dublin
“I am thinking about it,” she said.
In a speech to be delivered tonight at Trinity College Dublin in response to former French president Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, Ms Simons describes herself as “somebody seriously thinking about putting herself before the electorate”
Thinking about it? Seriously?
She has been "thinking" about it for months. She has been starring as Declan Ganley's stand-in on radio and TV shows in Ireland making gaffs about EU parliamentary structure and threatening court action in the warm up for her bid to become a Libertas MEP.Why hold back from stating you are running? Is this the type of decisiveness we need right now?
Ganley went on to slam European and Irish policies. Well what of Mr. Ganley's new policies to go with his new party? Nothing! Libertas have no policies.
Ganley slammed Euroscptics also. Indeed "I have poured scorn on Eurosceptics because scorn is what they deserve." he said.
What about these guys? Do you pour scorn on them too Declan? They are your Eurosceptic party members who signed up to get you/Libertas 200, 000 in funding. What are we to believe? That you scorn the people who support you and you bid for cash?

Declan Ganley get his"Pick of Europe's pond life"
During the summer a columnist in an Irish newspaper accused Declan Ganley of hanging out with the ‘pick of Europe’s pond life’. Many at the time felt the criticism harsh.
Ganley has just announced that he is now about to join the very gravy train that he has been criticising and he is going to Brussels with the begging bowl looking for taxpayers money to fund his political ambitions for next June’s EU Parliament elections. Some might think that the decision stinks of hypocrisy.
That isn’t the only thing that stinks – the list of worthies that Ganley has announced as his spear carriers in his efforts to get a grant from Brussels has more than a slight whiff about it. Virtually all of the Ganley crew are on the outer rim of euro-sceptics and a disturbing number of their CVs have references to xenophobia and anti-semitic views.
The one thing they all have in common is there opposition to the European Union. That seems to jar with Ganley’s protestations that he really is pro EU.
Here are some details – email peoplekorps@gmail.com if you have more
Bulgaria
Mincho Kuminev,
Kuminev is an independent member of the Bulgarian parliament. He was first elected in mid 2005.
On February 2, 2006 he was voted out from Parliamentary Group of the Ataka Coalition. The reasons for his exclusion were systematically disturbance of the order in the group during the introduction of new draft legislation and initiatives.
He was seen as a bit of a loose canon even within the group. On his expulsion from the group he said he left the party of his own choice.

Declan Ganley of Libertas silencing free speech and a free press by issuing spurious threats of legal action?
where are the actions?
does not always accept a central feature of an open democracy – the right to hold an
opinion that differs from Ganley's own.
Declan Ganley frequently threatens
litigation. In this he is travelling the same path as James Goldsmith
another rich Europhobe who used the threat of Court action to silence
opponents.
1. In the last week of November 2008, Ganley's solicitors issued
threats of legal action to Irish politicians, including Joe Costello
of the Irish Labour Party. This follows comments by Costello regarding
Libertas funding. According to the Irish Times "Mr Ganley has
threatened to sue Mr Costello for substantial damages, following Mr
Costello's charge that the Libertas founder has "a subversive foreign
agenda".
2. Ganley also threatened to sue Jim Higgins MEP
3. Ganley has issued several threats to take on journalists incl the
RTE team that produced the Prime Time special
4 Irish Times journalist and long time reporter on Declan Ganley's strange affairs
Colm Keena has been threatened with legal action.
5. In May 1999 he threatened to sue the Irish state on being told that the
the representitives of the Irish government would not continue discussions on
Ganley' s purchase of a fertilizer plant IFI in Co. Wicklow. When told that the
state was not interested in further discussions on his plans for IFI Ganley
got very pissed off and said siad he would go to the Courts for redress.
Told by a director at IFI, that "… that the shareholders had jointly decided
to stop discussions with Grande Portage and that they were reassessing the
options available to them. "[Ganley] replied by saying, 'It was going
to get interesting and this was not good enough.' He said he would
pass on the matter to his solicitors and he was not going to sit back
and let this all happen.' Ganley added 'I will take legal action and
this will end up somewhere in the High Court.' Ganley never sued. See
Fertiliser bomb ignited Ganley's anger, Sunday Tribune 19 January
2009. reproduced below
6. He did commence an action against the Irish state on the mobile phone
license – his bid was the lowest scoring in the contest – the case was
ultimately thrown out.
7. Action has even been threatened against people posting messages on
Politics.ie, a website controlled by one of his associates David Cochrane
an employee of Libertas who owns and runs the site with Ganley
promotion in mind.
